Damn that a lot of game for just 48 hours! A fun game though I didn't finish it, it was fun to set traps

A bit too long for a game jam in my opinion, so good job on having so much content! Nice narrative at the beginning. Wish there was something in-game that showed where the climbers were in their stats. Would have helped me optimize my play. Good work on the art and music! Seems like it could have benefited from more sound effects for the different actions.

How do you use the cards? I'm even clicking cards with 0 cost, and nothing happens.
Hold click :<
Guess that's why they say you need testers :o
I found it very enjoyable, it was fun to design traps around the connected routes!
The UI could use some work - there wasn't really any way to tell how many climbers were on the same tile, nor how much health & stamina each climber currently has... and the UI didn't scale with full screen so some things like the intro cutscene or the current energy were hard to read...
Budget cuts, man, it's the economy and all! Thanks though :P
I really liked the concept as a fan of Slay the Spire! I wish I had a way of seeing how much stamina/endurance/HP each climber has.
Good chance you soon will!
Cool game, nice animation for when the cards comes !
The little lore and the voice over when great addition to understand the story too
Not a big fan of card game but I found this one kinda fun !
Very creative, difficult but rewarding if you can get it done
I like the idea, the game is cool and nice looking, good job !
You did well, a lot of interactions here, I think I need to spend a bit more time with it, but very enjoyable.
Cool idea, never thought that card game can be done in 48 hours!
Since we're currently rewriting a lot of it, I'm starting to understand why. Doing it cleaning takes quite a bit of time lol. Luckily, the code we uploaded here is very much not clean :P
Nice game! Avalanche plus Fires is OP.
I'm proud to say that's my signature move, the Stickman-move as some people call it
Glad you are enjoying the game ^^
Congrats for pulling off the Stickman!
And thanks for playing :)
Played on stream! See the video for timestamp.
Thanks for playing!
You encountered a rare bug there, will try to fix that in a post-jam version :)
pretty fun

Wtf what.
Check with your team
So... I report a guy for spamming useless beggar comments all over the place, and an hour later I / we get accused of something very similar? That seems... rather... strange?!
Also, what's the "ask your team" about, if this were actually happening then surely you could point out who is supposedly doing it? This is very confusing and the fact that it happens about an hour after I reported an actual spammer is... very, very odd, let's say.
I’m not exactly sure what you’re getting at by saying “seems… rather… strange”, but if you’re concerned that the person you reported somehow knew it was you and attempted to do anything in retaliation, I can confirm that is not the case at all.
The entire submission’s status is at stake here, not just the individual. I suggest you have a team meeting to get the issue resolved. As a team you are jointly responsible for your submission. If you truly have no way to communicate with your team, or the members of the team are not cooperating or responding, then you can send in a support message with what you know about your team members and we can discuss further there. https://itch.io/support If you do send in a ticket then please reply to me here with the ticket ID so I can look up your request.
Thanks
Not getting at anything, it's just very suspicious timing. An entire week of good vibes and a great jam, then I report a singular person and poof, suddenly an admin appears on our page. I think that qualifies as strange. I have absolutely no idea what's going on, and I'm not insinuating anything, I'm confused.
We can communicate just fine, it just seems to me that you know a lot more about what's going on than any of us do, apparently. So we don't really know what to even talk about, as we have no idea what's even going on.
Edit: Welp. I'm no longer confused. That's all rather disappointing.
Hello leafo, we wouldn't want by any chance to ruin the integrity of the jam, so if you were so kind to inform us a little bit more on this issue so we will be able to tackle the incident would be very appreciated. Any information in regards of how it happened will be very much appreciated.

Sure thing, thanks for your reply. Rest assured that we are as concerned with this as you are, we will get to the bottom of this. At the moment we are waiting for all the team members to pronounce themselves about the case, if you need any cooperation from us in the meantime please let me know.
This game was fun! It was challenging but I did always feel like if I just played it right, I could win. Not to mention I liked the voice acting + art.
I did encounter a bug though that I couldn't find anyone else mention: one survivor went down 3 tiles and then landed on my nettle field, died, and then the game froze. I could still highlight tiles and the music continued, but that was the only input the game would really take.
Besides that bug though, this game was really good! Good work!
Thanks for playing, glad you enjoyed the game!
And thank you for reporting this bug :)
Ouf. Oh! The good news is, I'm pretty sure we know about that bug (it's a lot less specific than that). The bad news is, I freaking fixed that half a dozen times xD Oh well, I've already done some massive rewriting, so hopefully it fixed itself by now (or rather, once we can update).
Very fun game and idea!
Its fun but a bit tricky.
this kind of reminds me of snakes and ladders but with cards haha. really love the unique concept and execution!
We actually started out with chutes & ladders in mind! I'm amazed you still made that connection because it turned out quite different! Thanks for playing :)
That was a very novel and elegant idea! With time and polish, I strongly feel you could push your concept to a commercial game! Good job :)
Hey, thanks for checking out our game, this means a lot to us!
I really, really love this idea. A deckbuilder with this mechanic could be a hit, I will surely try the full game! You need to work on the interface and explain better all the cards, but overall great work guys!!!
Thanks for checking out our game, and noted, thanks for the feedback!
