The artwork is super sleek! Concept and execution are also great, really good job!

The character art is fantastic, even thumbnail drew me in. The Drama!

I immediately got nostalgia from the mechanics, reminded me of Hammerfight. I absolutely adored that game.

Absolutely beautiful.

Nice bullet hell kind of game with great graphics and nice forgiving gameplay. I love swinging around the sun around me and launching it to the enemy. Great stuff!

Really fun! A bit difficult to control at times, but the non-punishing death system makes it great. Also, nice music und graphics.

I absolutely loved the combat mechanic.

Building momentum and spinning up the sun is really satisfying, although it's a bit slow when you're also surrounded by bullets. I managed to get the moon to bounce horizontally, which was also satisfying, but perhaps the ball should lose momentum eventually. The moon was a lot more difficult to use, because you have to rebuild momentum every time you pick it back up. Also I often pick the moon back up before I want to, or right after I launch it if I didn't build speed. It would be nice if picking up the moon was another button press.

If the mechanic was more fleshed out and a bit less finnicky I would see myself playing a full game with it.

Nice spin to the bullet hell genre. You've manged to pack a lot of product in 48 hours too, very impressed!

It's cool

Perfect art

There are many bullets ), at first i didn't understand how to controll ball, in the end i started WASDWASD, even i died, character continues to live and i could kill bosses

Presentation fits theme

Good job

You know, you are excellent at creating space shooter games )

I found the moon mace parts pretty tricky! Looks really good.

Nice work on the programming :)

Great game and fantastic artwork. You played into the theme really well and I think you've made a really solid and fun game. Awesome work!

I suck at bullet hell game, so I appreciated the fact that you just counted the deaths rather than straight out punish the player and have them retry!

Liked the art style, maybe not so much the backgrounds but the animated heads were very sleek and well animated!

The mechanics of the ball could use some fine tuning, I wasn't sure how well to use it, so I just ended up rotating it around me with A W S D A W D S A, etc. The idea of un-linking the ball is very cool and like it at lot. I couldn't make a great use of it though because I was so busy trying to dodge the bullets! (again, I suck at bullet hells)

The artwork and idea were superb! The idea behind swing a ball and letting it loose is great though it can be a bit annoying to really do in a tactful manner. I often wanted to try and get the moon version set up in such a way that it would just continually do damage while I just dodged bullets but the large re-connection radius always got in the way. That could be intentional to try and discourage that behavior but I would have found it satisfying to do had it been a viable strategy I think

Thanks for your comment! The reconnection radius is there to be able to "catch the ball with a swing", to later re-throw it. As for the moon bounce strategy, it can be done if you set up the moon to bounce horizontally instead of vertically, though it is more dangerous to set-up since you have to be closer to the boss.

This bullet hell is very fun, gotta love the art and music!

Great art and music, an interesting twist on the shmup genre! This has potential with different types of attacks/abilities with the ball.

Excellent art and music! Very original gameplay! A bit challenging (I got hit a lot) but very satisfying when you pulled off high dps!

So who's the Touhou fan... :D

I've never really played many bullet hell games but this one felt really fun to swing the sun around your player while dodging projectiles. Detaching the sun to become the moon was really rewarding if you could time it to bounce horizontally dealing damage satisfyingly. Perhaps this method may be seen as a bit overpowered and I can see that there is a limit on DPS which is understandable, one thing I might suggest if you were to work on this game more is that allowing the player to pull off lots of damage could keep that satisfaction in place but perhaps to make the game not fly by so easily the "boss" could react to higher DPS with moves more focused on putting the player in tricky dodging situations as they do not have to worry as much about dishing out damage.

The music was also great and I loved the atmosphere of the game!

Thanks for your comment! There's a few overpowered strategies in there, the bouncing moon is one I wouldn't patch out since it's fun to do, not as easy to set up, and there's times where the moon is just bouncing behind the boss not dealing any damage before it returns, which requires more time bullet dodging. The DPS cap is there make the continuous flailing sun strikes not be the only viable strategy. I'm certainly a Touhou fan, but I'm not the only one :D

❄ I really enjoyed this twist on the bullet-hell/shmup genre, the sun/moon feels great to use, though, I wish that specifically the sun had more oomph to its hits since it's the close ranged option, maybe a bit of screenshake?

The visual and narrative themes feel really reminiscent of the overall tone of Greek myth, and it was obvious you were going for that sort of feel, I really want to know more about the player character though, who is she? how'd this nymph get a hold of this crazy sun/moon weapon? Is she single?

All I'm saying is great game and I'd love to see more of this world it seems like you have growing here

Such a fun and original concept! The art during the initial cutscene is phenomenal! It also kind of becomes a rhythm game when trying to get the sun/moon to cause damage in the most optimal way possible, it's very satisfying to get multiple hits at once. Great work overall!

the art and style is really cool :) I like the concept of using the ball and chain being "joined together" very cool. I found the gameplay less engaging because I would just end up spinning while the chain ball did the same amount of damage regardless of the speed of the chain ball

Really loved this twist on traditional shmup mechanics, I think some extra abilities and power ups on the ball and chain would be really sick. Please check out my platformer if you get the chance.
