One thing that happened for me is the short gang brother couldn't be controlled by the WASD keys like the tutorial said, so I ended up playing with one hand on arrow keys and another on 360 controller! I love the hand drawn presentation, however the tall one moves too slowly. Good job overall!

Do you mean the tall guy is too slow when he's carrying the bomb or in general? And do you mean the speed feels too slow for the animation or would simply prefer him to be quicker?

As for the controls: I was being a bit too clever when coding the input controllers and made it recognize & switch to gamepads automatically, if they are detected. Which means that if you're playing on your own it's best to disconnect any gamepad before :)

Yeah when he's holding the bomb he's very slow, even for carrying a bomb it feels a bit too much. I'll try playing it again without the controller connected!

I think that's more a design issue on our part. We didn't want any areas where the player should have to move with him carrying the bomb.  But after watching others play it we've noticed that there are def. areas where people will do precisely that. And then I can totally understand why the speed is annoying :)

It's a good mechanic once you figure it out. Good job on the art as well. I encountered one or two bugs with the bomb along the way forcing me to restart but it wasn't a huge deal.

Great use of the character's body types to create puzzles! I loved the art style. Took me a moment to realize the bomb goes off when you're not holding it, but its a great mechanic once I figured that out. With a little more polish, this could be a great full length game. Good work!

Yeah that's unfortunately a bug we've picked up (hehe) too late. The fix is to quit & start the game, instead of restarting it from pause.Thanks for playing and your kind words!

I love how gorgeous the art is!! It is a style not seen to commonly and I really like it. The gameplay is fun too, when you let go of the bomb it is very stressful but that's where the game shines. I also liked the controls, they make you stay very involved and it feels like you are there with the characters. Really good work and solid submission! :D

Really cool idea. Probably one of the most original ones. There are some minor flaws and bugs and the gameplay could be a bit faster, but overall a really nice game!

Thank you! The bugs are an unfortunate side-effect of our poor time managment :D "Lehrgeld", as they say. I think the game's tempo is a side effect of developing with two players in mind though we'll probably make Hefty a big faster, should we expand on the idea after the jam. Thanks again!

Incredibly good-looking game, with presentation far beyond what I'd expect from 48 hours' work. Clever mechanic, well utilised, easy to understand and difficult to master. Brilliant.

There's an unfortunate bug after restarting the game that causes the bomb sound to go overboard and prevents the end trigger from firing. You can restart and play the level just fine, but to fix the bug you'll have to quit the game. Sorry!
