Nice idea! I liked the concept of switching with your enemys very much. The camera movement was a bit buggy, but I really liked the artwork. Great work ^_^

Great idea. Could use some sound but otherwise impressive level design too!
Very creative approach to the theme! a game that I had a lot of fun especially when switching with the birds and floating across the gaps. could use some sound effects but good job!
Really interesting concept and game mechanic. Would like to see more 😀🤘
Also your levels design is perfect!! Good job!
Definitely an interesting and a unique concept!
The camera's movement could be smoother, it moves weirdly when the player double jumps. The player's movement also gets weird sometimes, like the jump height is different so you have to try the jump again. You can also add a glow to show which enemy we are going to switch with on the next death so it is more clear. The game could also do with a lose condition, maybe you lose a live if you jump into spikes and don't have any enemy to switch with, and you lose when the lives are over.
I can see a potential game with this mechanic, I would love to see a full game which uses the death-switch mechanic to create interesting puzzles!
Thanks for the feedback. Yes, the camera is the first thing I'd fix. I agree there should be something more to the "real deaths"- either lives or another addition to the mechanic like a mana bar. I should have added some fade in/out for the real deaths too (when you return to checkpoints) to make it more clear when you've messed up as opposed to switching.
Really cool mechanic! I liked how you showcased different approaches. The kill-to-teleport mechanic has a nice feeling to it :) Good job!
This was awesome. It's such a cool mechanic and you explored a lot of different scenarios of how it can be used. The movement could use improvements. The screen sometimes glitches out when you double jump and the camera can give you a whiplash when it switches places with the enemy.
Wow, this was incredible. I would love to continue playing this, I hope you continue development - this is a really nice game, had to give this the full score. Great job and great idea!
Really cool mechanic for the jam's theme! Most games I've been playing you typically want to keep your linked buddy alive, so this came as a big shock when I finally committed to jumping in the spike pit.
The camera was very rough, but the concept kept that from being too jarring to play. This was a great jam game for exploring a fun concept!
Good job!!
Oh my goodness, that was really really good! As many of the others have said, the camera is jank, but overall the concept really holds up. Its kind of like portal, but without portals, and theres a lot of death!
The lack of sound also brings it down a bit, but regardless of that, I left with the urge to play more. The mechanic is simply just genious.
Hit me up if you want help with the camera, or if you wish to get some music I also know a guy and two.
4/5, would play a full game of this.
PS. I forgot to praise your art, the character looks awsome!
I like the linking to the enemies. Wish there was more levels to expand on some of the ideas that you had for the level design. Aside from the camera being a little funky all around a good game
I didn't hear anything, but the game is so bloody clever! Please make a full version, I will help you!
