I had much fun playing this game! The graphics looked amazing and liked the zelda like sword mechanic a lot.
Great work ^_^

How does your game fit the theme?
Death To Wizards is roguelike dungeon action game with satisfying combat and additional ingame linking mechanisms which refers game jam theme "Joined Together". Wizards can control multiple zombies. Controlled zombies are uninvincible. Link lasts until wizards death. After link breaks zombies are finally vulnerable to attacks. This mechanic and clever level design makes each level tougher and more intresting to overcome. wizards are hard to kill because they got fireball attack and stay at the back. In the other hand zombies charge at you as mad dogs until they reach you. To open the doors to next level you have to kill all the enemies and lit up every shrine in the area. Litted shrines slow down zombies which can be used to players advantage, plus you can use knockback effect on enemies as crowd controll.

Great work ^_^
This game looks and feels great. The AI was pretty good for the zombies and casters. Some of the levels felt similar to each other, but otherwise this was a fun game. Awesome work!
Really interesting mechanics, and solid gameplay!
Plus the art is very pretty! Great work! :)
I love the way it plays, looks and feels. The beam-hit is a nice addition to the combat and it's fun and challenging. Good one!
Wanted to come check out your own game and wow! Love it, I like the idea of killing the wizards to allow for the removal of the zombies like slaying necromancers haha. I might suggest adding a tip or perhaps even a small bar or signifier that the torches are lighting up/take a moment, as I did not realize at first why it sometimes lit or not. I like the mechanic design here, with the zombies rushing you, while you have to contend with killing the ranged wizards before you can take care of them. Its certainly a game I could see myself returning to for play, although I will say sometimes the combat can feel a bit, off? I'm not sure if its projectile vs walking speeds, or maybe the nature of the attack but sometimes it can feel a bit frustrating to work around it however that was the exception more than it was ever the majority, all in all one of the better games I've played here!
Thank you its really nice of you! I am glad that you like the idea so much, because i was anxious if people will notice the theme.
"I might suggest adding a tip or perhaps even a small bar or signifier that the torches are lighting up/take a moment, as I did not realize at first why it sometimes lit or not."
To be honest i though that this animation of small flames before torch ignition will do the trick. Later i realized it won't and i didn't wanted to waste more time on it, hoping for the best :O

Honey for my ears! I consider making from this full version :-) we will see
"I will say sometimes the combat can feel a bit, off? "
Unfortunately you are right and it's my fault, because at last moment i added enemies in every level to make it tougher and I increased health of wizards and zombies by 1. Because of that in crowded areas attack can feel too slow.
Thank you for kind words and effort to give me feedback which I really appreciate
Of course man! Wanted to give you the take on my experience with it, always good to see that things you expected may be an issue is confirmed lol, may want to try looking at the walking vs projectile speed as well tho, thinking on it further I think that may have been part of my issue, although I'm unsure if that may have just be the adjustment period. Perhaps a wider play area would also negate the need? I'm not sure honestly, thank you for the comments as well, and hope you have a great week here!
Really like the connection between wizards and zombies, I enjoyed trying to hold off crowds of invulnerable zombies long enough to get to the matching wizard!
I encountered an occasional bug where wizards would clip through walls and become invulnerable, but it always resolved itself when I restarted a level so all good :)
Really nice animations and art. I really like how the sword swinging feels. I do wish I had more crowd control ability though. The sword had a pretty wide range of attack, but I still felt like there were times when I was gonna get hit and there was nothing I could do about it. I also ran into a bug in the first room with three connected wizards where the blue one would sometimes turn invulnerable and I had to restart.
Still a great looking game though with a good feel, nice work!
Well it was nice :) I'd wish the fighting would be a bit more responsive and the difficulty curve a bit more steep. The torch lighting mechanic was not obvious, but I understand it's difficult to put everything in the game, so it's fine you sometimes have to read description of the game. :) Anyway, I like top-downs, the way weapon rotates around reminded me of Nuclear Throne. Congratulations on this one :)
I am pleased that you had a good time with my creation! You are the most kind, thank you for effort to give me feedback. I will consider you suggestions and figure out my priorities better next time :-) Actually i never played Nuclear Throne nor get inspired from it, istead ArchVale was my huge influence for combat, unfortunately its not released yet. Never the less thanks for good title, certainly i will try it out ;-)
Oh, thank you! And thanks for the game recommendation, I checked it out and it seems very interesting. BTW I think those guys definitely got inspired by Nuclear Throne and its creators Vlambeer. You should REAALY check out this video on juicyness by their designer. I think it's of great use for any action game designer.
Cute game with a simple yet beautiful design. Fighting is very good (not just because I have almost the same attack :DD)
Nice fight feel! Theme not noticable at the first glance, I had to read your description to realize why those enemies are so tough! It was very enjoyable, I would add some indicator that you are fueling a torch, because at first I was surprised it stopped being lighted when I went away :D Btw, are you from Poland? Not so many people have "sz" in their nicknames xD
I am delighted that you liked it so much! :D Thank you for feedback which is helpful a lot. Of course i agree with you in 100%, but unfortunately in only 48H of development i had to do some sacrifices. I filled page description with tips about the game as much as i could to help people who struggle.
I liked the art a lot, and thought the combat felt really weighty and impactful. nice work!
Great take on a dungeon action game. The sword swing animation and attack felt really good. The levels get tough for 4 hearts! It might be nice if the shrines healed a heart when lit, but I like that they slow the zombies. Nice artwork too.
