I played this game in this video here (6:41):

Thank you haha! It’s really fun actually watching someone play your game :)

We really should have put the controls on screen, huh. You were ”””supposed””” to use the mouse to change the sliders, and then we added the buttons, but I guess that isn't as intuitive as I thought.

Thanks for making this great video!

Wow nice video! Thanks for playing our game! Looks like it was enjoyable, if a bit unclear XD

very cool game, nice concept.

it would have been nice to have on-screen controls

Very interesting idea and fun to play. Maybe too hard at the begining but very polished!

great game ! I loved both the art and the concept

The mechanic is really unique, but to me, the gameplay felt more like experimenting with values than solving a puzzle. It was still interesting, and I think this concept could be taken a lot further.

Developer

It's always a good sign when a 48 hour game jam game is worth taking to another level, and isn't just a weird gimmick worth 5 minutes of play time. Thanks for your feedback!

First time seeing a mechanic like this, it's a really cool idea and really fun! Great job!

Developer

Thanks!

You've got a lovely puzzle platformer here! I could have gone for some more checkpoints within each screen, but that may say more about my ability as a player.

I wish the sliders had been more harmonious with the aesthetic of the rest of the game -- I think you can achieve a happy medium where they are still obviously "outside" of the environment, but still share some aspects of the visual language. Maybe just make them bolder and brighter. If you put a marker/handle icon on them too, that might make their use a bit more intuitive for player.

Still, I think you could build this out into a cool Metroid-inspired game where you ceremoniously unlock different dev tools (as it stands, the way you unlock them feels random. Throw in more pomp and circumstance!)

I'd love to play an expanded version of this. Keep up the good work!

Thank you for commenting! I very much agree that the sliders could have been handled better, both in terms of unlocks and function. None of us are artists and we used an asset pack for the art, so the sliders themselves were a bit improvised. Markers are a great idea!

I really appricate such a long and and informative comment as this one. Glad you liked the game! :)

A really neat idea, I give full marks for originality. It was a bit fiddly though, there were definitely screens I got past with no effort, and others that I got stuck on trying to find the exact combo that would work. Frustrating at times, but fun. Good job

I really enjoyed this! The concept is unique (and fun!) and it was executed very well. I found myself mostly minimizing or maximizing one of the stats at a time to get past any particular jump because dialing in specific values for each of the three stats was really tough while in motion, but whatever, this was a great game.

Developer

Thank you! We really didn't have time to finetune the sliders, so they are a bit all-or-nothing. I guess that's the nature of a game jam. Thank you for the feedback!

Polished and smart. Enjoyable to find how little control I have on a character when being in control of all their physics. Good use of checkpoints and reusing visiting different screens. Could play easily double this very chill, very enjoyable game

Thank you! I'm glad you liked it :)

THIS is the kind of stuff I thought of but could never hope to make! Well done, this was super fun to play around with and fit the theme very well. :)

Developer

Thank you! I'm glad you liked it :)

It's incredible what you can achive with a team and a little bit of experience, I'm sure you can make something even better next year! :D

Fantastic idea! The visuals and audio were premade but fit the game nicely. 5/5 on all fronts my dude. Maybe a more intuitive way of controlling the sliders would work better

Submitted(+2)

Nice game ! It had a nice length for a jam game, and fit the theme well. The only complaint I had was that the sliders were a bit buggy sometime, especially at low values, but otherwise it is a solid entry, well done !

Developer

Thank you! Glad you liked it :)

Extreamly cool concept. In my opinion you should be able to temporarily stop to change the values. Or maybe I'm just bad :3

Developer

That's a great idea! Thanks for the feedback :)

The game is original, fun and has a pretty cool design. I softlocked myself after my character goes backward after the second level after the apparition of speed parameter >_>

But it’s not very intuitive to change the pysics with W/S, E/D and R/F. Maybe you should precise that in the description ?

It’s a fun concept ! You should make a full game about this, it’s original and it could be fun to play ^^

I really like the build up of the movements you get to unlock. I also got pretty overwhelmed by managing all the sliderbars in the UI making the other of control pretty accurate.

I do have to say it got a bit frustrating constantly dying and hearing the same sound all the time.

But I must say, it is a pretty fun concept.

Developer

Maybe should have randomized the pitch a bit, eh...
Thanks for playing and commenting on our game! Glad you found some joy in it :)
