Neat story, audio grew on me during the gameplay, and I am glad I could go through dialog as quickly as I needed to (didnt have to wait for anything). Other than the collisions on the buttons being a bit wonky, this was a fun little adventure. Keep up the great work!

As everybody said, collisions were weird for me too, the alert at the end saying thank you was intentional or is it a debug message that slipped to the release version? It's not really my type of game but it's a Nice game!! Congrats!
It's interesting as a concept, but a visual novel without any proper choices is just a story and not really a game. I'd be interested in it as a story if it was more fleshed out.
The browser pop up was a very nice touch though.
Whoa what a experience! I really liked the story element. Nice job!
It has a lot of potential, but the collisions feel wonky, and I wish I had more control. Otherwise, nice game! From a 14 year old game developer, I wish you the best of luck. Here's my game https://itch.io/jam/gmtk-2020/rate/697413 tell me what you think :)
What is the point of such a game if you can't choose anything?
Nice work, keep at it, I enjoyed reading the script you wrote.
Did you use any game engines to put this together? Check out Twin if you haven't heard of it.
I really like how the game breaks the fourth wall and makes the Cortex feel a lot more disturbing. This isn't proper criticism but if you were to polish the game a bit more then you would have a great narrative, maybe add interactive backgrounds or something to get the players attention whilst reading the narrative.
Sorry, but the buttons were controlled pretty badly and it seemed that only 1 button was working (dont know if that is intended or not - why give a lot of buttons if only one will work). Still - pretty good for a 13 year old, character art is ok. Keep up the good work and you'll be a Kojima one day =)
I liked the story!! You should make it a full game with more choices.
I like it! Almost has a DDLC feel to it. Not too much story but I like the concept! You should spend some more time on this and make it into a full game!
i know from experience a text adventure game is super tough to make in a time limit, just all the writing and plotlines, it takes forever to work out, so i understand the kind of mute atmosphere of the whole thing. But I have to be honest and say i didnt think this was that fun. Interesting concept but you kinda just click the left mouse button a bunch and watch a two minute storyline play out. I get thats the point, but theres kind of a reason people let you make choices in these types of games. Because otherwise its just like reading a book. At the very least some more interesting visuals would have made it slightly better, most of the game you spend staring at a table. but in general i think the original concept just couldnt have made a good game, especially given the constraints of a game jam. Maybe next jam you could come up with more ideas, and then decide if one is better. Hope this helps.
