I quite liked this game, nice job! The island itself was really cool to walk around, the day/night system and shadows seem quite ambitious for merely 48 hours, and driving the car around is really fun!

On that last point, I think a really cool way to expand the way whilst still adhering to the theme would be to make only 1 car that you drive around but have to refuel. Like Days Gone!

Really nice game, good work! Your art and presentation is on point with this :)

The map is gigantic ! It was a bit easy to find the boat though, like a boat it is on a coast just have to run around the island, when most of the risk is inside the land, but i would really see some other mechanics, almost some kind or survival like this, feels great, the aesthetics is awesome, the osunds deserve some work, but overall it's a great game, good job !

Really great design and theme usage 5 stars!  I liked the sound effects and day and night cycle as well, very intense.  Also was cool how when you died you spawned at another spot.  Very cool idea~  Please check out my entry if you have time.

Creepy vibes! Loved finding out I could drive the cars around.

The atmosphere of survival games like Rust is here. Found some bugs though with invisible walls around the forest that stops the player dot, but not the red dots. Otherwise, its a good shot at the genre.

Besides the badly looped sounds the game's great, my favorite so far.

Yes, the sounds was bit rushed. Actually more time spent in choosing the proper sounds the game .

Anyways, very glad you enjoyed the game :)

Good concept. Great as a mobile game

Developer

Thank you, glad you enjoyed it :)

The game looks great but as far as gameplay goes I didn't really have fun. I just walked along the coastline (because where else would you find a boat) and found it after quite a while. Maybe if you had to find the keys or the gas for the boat? Or something that will make me need to go inland. Because in my other playthroughs I saw the inland looked far more interesting than the coast (as beautiful as those waves are).

Driving around in the car feels and looks cool but it feels unpredictable in regard to car running out of gas. Maybe a small progress bar for the gas? But I can't overstate how cool driving those tiny pixel cars is.

In regard to the theme it is within it. One pixel one way to escape etc. But I don't think the game benefits from the theme. I've had most fun driving around in the car exploring various parts of the island rather than focusing on a singlular, rather boring, goal at the moment.

Our team has been discussing the idea of player being just one pixel for quite some time but we didn't believe the idea was promising enough to pursue. I think you already proved us wrong and I hope you will work on adding more things to do inland after the jam.

All in all a great looking game.

Thank you very much for playing our game and your insights. I too enjoyed the driving the car.  Actually we might go back and develop this game and provide more reason to go inland (or stay a bit in the island :p)

I'd like to see that. You are now being followed by ChairishGames :)

It's not even tangentially related to the theme, but it's fun and thrilling.

one pixel character on a large scaled island alone, looking for the only way out.
i disagree, but I'm happy that you enjoyed it.

I din't really think about that. In my mind I only imagined the theme mechanically.

I like the idea of running for your (one) life. But finding that boat... well, I didn't... :-)

Developer(+1)

Thank you for playing :) I also cannot find the boat in my first attempts :p

Submitted(+1)

I state that despite my multiple attempts I could not find that boat.

The game itself is done well, good music and excellent graphics.
All good except for the idea ... I didn't find it very much in line with the theme.

But apart from that, it's a great result.

Developer

Thanks very much for the feedback and glad you like the game. I had trouble finding the  boat in the beginning too XD

thank you, i have tried your game and it is really fun to play :)

The lack of game music with just the foot steps and car running makes the game have more feel and mystery to it. Some red pixels are well hidden that makes you say "O# $#!T" when they come towards you. I beat the game once without riding a car. You can make the red pixels just a tiny bit faster than the player. This will make players think about riding the car. 10/10 will play it again and a good time consumer.

Thanks for the feed back. we might get back to this game if ever have time :)

the graphics has its own feel to the story aside from the gameplay.  the concept itself, it would be great if you also develop it for mobile.

Developer

Thanks for the comment. will take note of your suggestion :)

This game really captured the mystery and feeling of an abandoned island, especially with the music-less ambiance. Props to that! My only issue is that the cars would often not work. Great job!

Developer

Thanks for the comment :) yes im still stuck at why it is not working always :p

Very good game! It has a very nice ambiance and it has a well balanced difficulty.  Only problem I felt was the lack of visual/mechanic feedback about the clipping boundaries.  Good game!

Developer

Thank you and glad you liked it.  We had to cut corners with the collision stuff but will take note of your feed back :)
