This is great for just a "little experiment"! It takes a second to get used to the game, but after a couple of tries, you can kind of intuit how far your square needs to go. The controls feel a little too sensitive - there were points where I would input the same controls twice in a row and they would end up completely different, but maybe I'm just bad at it. Still very fun!
original and hard! love it.
Really cool idea.
Would have been nice to see the actual animation after you hit enter, it would let the player get better feedback on how the character actual moves. Without that, the harder levels just felt like trial-and-error.
The ordering of the levels seemed quite random, with a lot of trivial levels followed by huge difficulty spikes.
Lovely aesthetic, the graphics and sound reminded me of N++.
Good job.
Cool game! Great idea, great execution, loved playing it!
Please try our game as well: https://itch.io/jam/gmtk-2019/rate/463868!
Very interesting, especially liked the free fall level. Also, I am much worse at predicting where I'll be than expected. Thanks for letting me learn something about myself. (Btw, cool logo for the game)
Neat idea - I just wish you couldn't go to the next level without actually beating it. I accidentally pressed the button a few times and I didn't like feeling like I had skipped the level, or cheated, without meaning to. Otherwise, I liked the game! Keep up the good work!
nice idea!
This is quite a hard game so I appreciate having the option to go to the next level xD. I really like the style with the art and the music. The main mechanic is cool and unique but I feel like it's missing something. On some levels I would just spam right and jump and then eventually stop because I figured I'd probably be there by now. I'm not sure how it could be improved but I think you've done a great job!
Took me a while to get used to the controls (the practice level helped with that), but once it clicked it was really fun going "blind" through the level only to hit enter and see the SUCCESS screen!
Really weird to control, but it kind of works.
Unfortunately, there's too much down time to get the hang of the controls. When not hitting the goal, the level should restart faster and without moving my fingers.
Cool idea, I feel like it's not missing much to be a good game.
really cool idea! it's surprising how well you can do it once you get a feel for the controls. I really wish when you hit Enter, it would show a quick playback of the player movement, to help you understand what went wrong :)
