I love this!
It took me a few tries to get the hang of the controls but once I was comfortable, it was really satisfying to control the character and move fast. I could totally see speedrunners play this and do some unthinkable strategies to climb fast!
The art style / color palette was on point, the music is perfect and the level of polish is impressive for a jam like this. Bonus point for all the settings you guys made! It looks like a game that could be released on Steam ;) GG!
Very fun game! I can see myself coming back to this after the jam and trying to beat my highscore. I do have to agree with the other comments, the controls are a bit finnicky and while the shots are really good at launching the player, there's no way to control the force and ends up shooting me all over the place. I feel like adding gamepad controls may help out with that or maybe lessening the force?
Outside of that, I really adore the art and visuals of this game. Everything is well communicated, the scan line filter is a very nice touch, the color pallete is nice, all in all great! The music is also pretty nice but I want to point out that the music keeps playing even when the game over sound plays. Anyways, great game and you all should be proud of yourselves!
That's a pretty good game ! Really hard, but it managed to make me want to see more, which is a very good sign ! But my brain still cannot handle the fact that if I shoot left, I go right...
I think there are still things to do to make it more user friendly. Maybe trying to reduce the speed of the jump could help, to give a bit more time to react in case of mistake. And some platforms are at a weird height, making them impossible to jump on, but at the same too low for the recoil jump, so the level design sometimes feel a bit uncomfortable.

I love the fact that you can get ammo from the sand and use it to propel yourself. This allows for some crazy mechanics and even a speedrun feel. Really well done. My fave part was panicking when I was about to die and managing to save it by absorbing ammo and shooting like crazy lol
Interesting control concept and very pleasing visuals and audio!
Very nice work. Graphic, audio and concept. The only thing is that i couldn't try after the base floor since i did not know how to jump on those platforms. Too much higher and the player does little jumps.
Probably it's me that did not understood well.
Really hard to control, need to get used to the controls or they should be tweaked to be a little more natural to use.

Love the game! I think the movement, visuals, and feedback are all very well done, the only thing I had an issue with was the controls. Might just be my keyboard but it felt very awkward to move around with everything being so close to each other, though I'm not really sure what I would do differently other than maybe make use of a mouse for the sand vacuum?
Overall very great game, even if I'm bad at it lol
