This came out sick! Arrow keys werent doing me any favors at first as I kept scrolling the game window off screen, but definitely a good game. I want to re-try with a controller.

If you havent already, a quick play of Aerostat would be appreciated.

this game is super polished with really wonderful art and sound.  you nailed the game boy vibe for sure.  the gameplay is simple, but pretty fun.  though i had a lot of trouble getting the dash to activate when i needed it to so i didn't get very far-- even on easy.  looks like you have at least a few enemies to have some variety.  makes me wonder if you worked in a boss or anything.  nicely done though!

The graphics, music and gameplay are amazing. The levels are very hard, I loved it

What a gorgeous looking and sounding, focussed and well executed game! Really excellent. Thank you for the difficulty levels <3

Buen juego, rápido, trepidante. Gráficos y música excelentes.

Loved it! The dash gets sometimes difficult to use, but all in all i had a great time playing this game! Very elaborated enemies with different and interesting attacks. Sound effects where good, and the music was ok. Good job guys!

Pretty awesome, and hardcore but with an easy mode for people like me xD. I like you can chose different paths through the game to provide different experiences each time and all different kind of enemies and puzzles between the level design and each kind of enemy.

This game's standout feature are its graphics. Everything is lovingly detailed, and the palette helps sell the "rustic" aesthetic the game is going for.

Regarding the gameplay, I like the core gameplay loop quite a bit, and the fact that there's enough variety to keep the player on their toes (monsters coming from behind, moving blocks). In that sense, it really does feel like a standalone game.

The audio is fitting and the music is nice. Except for the player dash cooldown sound effect, which rather sounds like a player damage sfx, and can be a bit confusing at times.

The technical field presents with a few shortcomings, though. I've seen the path selection and the music bug out various times. The former sometimes experienced fatal bugs.

Great job!

Really great audio and visual presentation and great "one-more-round" gameplay :D

Super solid and challenging game. Very cohesive aesthetics, makes me wonder how those high contrast flashy effects would look on a real gameboy.

Great work!!

Gameplay is fast paced but fair, music is well done, overall a great project!

Well that was fun! The hard is pretty hard. Had to beat it on easy first. Overall, it feels very solid. Allowing the player to choose their difficulty as they go is a great idea! I can keep up the pressure if I'm feeling it, or I can hop back over to easy if I need a break. I could see that being a very good mechanic especially in longer levels. I wish there was more to play.

One small critique is that I wish the "dash ready" sound effect was a little 'happier'. The first few times I played it, I thought I was getting hurt after each dash (I thought I wasn't quite dashing all the way over the spikes, for example).

But a great entry. Well done.

The art was great and the game was tough which was something I really liked about it.

Start is a bit fast, but gameplay and art is amazing, really good job!

Love how fast it is to introduce mechanics and then put a twist on them, really keeps your interest. There were a few things that happened a little fast before I could wrap my head around it but I knew it going into the next run so it was no big deal in the end. My one issue though is that I felt like the spike hit range was pretty large. Maybe I just need to git gud but I felt that to really clear the spikes consistently requires a precision that isn't afforded by the pace the game is going at.

Very addictive, I like it. Graphics wise? Excellent!

It is one of my favourites already.

Wow! This was super fun despite the difficulty. I love hard retro games so I can't complain with this one. I was able to get pretty far in the "hard" way before dying.
It took me a few tries to get used to the dash (especially for the spikes) because you need to push UP to dash forward so I would run into spikes before dashing.

The graphics and the sound design really suited the game.
I'm going to be playing this again for sure!
Awesome job on the GBJam submission
