Short but sweet! It’s a shame there are no more levels for this game.
Very nice memory game! Like your take on the theme, very much on point! :) One suggestion: the game over panel's buttons have "normal" fonts which didn't match the overall visual art at all - causing them to pop out in a strange way.
This was a fun little puzzler. The interface and UI are spot-on, graphics were nice, loved the music a lot, and the sound effects suited the game style.
I kicked off with normal, and ran out of time the first time - second time I discovered the light button (had tried to click the lantern icon), then cleared it the third time.
Hard mode was another matter :) After several attempts I had a strange moment of clarity and cleared it without a single mistake..! I imagine the game could be broken by use of print-screen, but I'm not sure what defense mechanism you could use - the best one probably being 'you're only cheating yourself'! Perhaps having the sparkles display on alternate frames so it's impossible to get everything in a single screenshot.
You should expand this I think. It's a tight little puzzler and would probably suit mobile well (at least cheating could be mitigated more easily there)
Great game and Awesome choice of music and art. especially the music for me had such a nostalgia vibe for some reason.
I can't get enough of these Pixel graphics. I like this, its simple and quick to play, and it works flawlessly. Well done!
Nice job! reminds me a bit of Mine Sweeper :D.
Took me a couple of fails on easy mode before i noticed the light :D.
Managed to get through easy using the light several times. Then medium mode i focused hard and watched half the board a time. Then on hard mode i suddenly realised it was now easier to just look for where the gold IS, rather then where it isn't :). Managed to get through with a couple of little mishaps.
Fun mini game, well done. :)
I just digged all the graves
Now I'm surfing on the waves
Sorry!
Awesome game! lol
Fun little memory game that fits the brief really well!
Great job!
very nice minigame. Fits good to the theme and everything fits good together (graphic, music, sounds, all the 8bit stuff^^)
Just a little idea: How about integrate the difficulty into the game - with every round it get's harder!
I liked your game :) I found the hard mode difficult as I needed to remember everything :O I mean it is the goal of the game. Thank for sharing :)
I found it hard to clear enough in the time with the amount of time blocked with the lamps.
Maybe make the easier level easier for people like me :)
Nice design though.
Simple concept, clean execution, cohesive vfx and sfx! Nice job! This was quick and easy to understand. It took me a few tries, but I beat hard mode and it didn't feel unfair. I'm not sure if this was intended or not, but losing the mouse after lighting the lantern fought with how I tried to play the game. I would click to light the lantern and try to use the mouse to help me remember and trace where I needed to dig, but it disappeared. I'm not sure if this was intentionally done for difficulty, but it was a little frustrating at first. Well done, thanks for making this!
Thank you so much for playing and for the feedback. Disabling the mouse was intentional but I agree it does feel frustrating at first. I put it in to amp up the difficulty but I'm thinking maybe a better option would be to leave the mouse enabled and to just disable the ability to click grave piles while the lantern is active.
