This game might be a bit hard to grasp at first, but the principles behind it are incredibly profound!
Very polished submission! I enjoyed the process of putting down bricks and seeing them squish together. I think there should be some incentive to place the blocks faster (I saw there is a bonus timer, but I never really cared to reach it). Kind of something like in tetris? Like maybe, if you don't move fast enough, the blocks will fall on their own? Just food for thought. Also, I love the sound effects.
Anyway I enjoyed this a lot and you did a great job!
Edit: Also, sometimes when I pressed my key, it would move 2 spaces or place 2 blocks instead of one at a time, which threw me off a bit.
Clever mechanics! I was missing a bit of urgency when placing the blocks, but a super unique entry that fits very well with the theme!
Yes, the sfx and music could definitely help. I did see the bonus countdown, but somehow it didn't feel very 'real', if that means something? Maybe if you also added some kind of negative effect (e.g. spawning random blocks or similar) that happen in the main game? This might be just me but in these kind of games i always end up focusing fully on the main mechanics and don't pay attention to the HUD :P
I think I crushed the previous record! It's very satisfying when you finally cash out a lot of points at the same time. I managed to get almost 1.5 million points at once with the 3 gold blocks 😆
Great game, I was hooked!
I like that there is no need for a reading a tutorial you can just understand the game and go with the flow.
I loved this game. It took me a minute to understand how the game worked but once I started I was hooked and the time flew by! Good job with this game! The only thing I was wondering is when a brick gets launched, where does it end up? Is it randomised or is there a way of predicting it? Either way good job, you should be proud!
Thank you so much!!
Yes, you can predict where it lands: It depends on the weight difference you cause and the 'column'.
If you drop a brick ok a left column, causing it to get down, the top brick on the right will fly to left as many 'columns' as the weight change was. So, if the keft column was at 5, the right was at 7 and you dropped a brick weighing 3, the other brick will fly just 1 step...which is actually the column you dropped on...just as an example :D
The further you proceed in levels, the more possible that a "heavy" brick can fly around. This then can result in the brick being transporter over and over ;D
Interesting way of making Tetris into more of a puzzle game, rather than a reflex(rapid thinking one!
Took me a moment to figure out the controls, but once I did it was quite a fun experience. Shame about the music, but the sound design of the different scales was quite funny. Overall this is a really polished game, great job.
very well fleshed out and polished games, found the animations very fluid and was pleasantly surprised.
Nice game!
Hovering over the menu and having the box guy open is mouth made me laugh out loud... I was not expecting that. The overall feel of everything is really well polished for just two weeks!
It took me a little to get used to the controls, and to fully understand what would happen when the block was "launched" from one platform to the next, but once I got the hang of it, everything started clicking. Nice work! I could see this being a mobile game on the app store!
