An interesting take on the prompt. I really like the concept, but felt it could have had some small balancing changes to make it better. At the current moment you can very easily keep one enemy in a wave alive and then farm all the bullets you need for the rest of the fight. But if you choose to play in a more conventional way, it is a good balance between farming and fighting, which is nice. Good job!

That's so great to hear! This is our sixth game jam that we have done together and we like to think we're getting better after each one. It's so validating to hear that all the work that we have put in has paid of. That is great feedback on the high score mechanic, it was raised as a concern towards the end of the development timeline but unfortunately we only had time to add the total pig collected or a total distance and we prioritised the pig option. Like any game jam though, it would be just that much better if you had that extra bit of time. Either way, I am so glad you liked it, and your kind words have really made my day. =)
You make a really good point about the font. I liked the stylistic appeal of the font that we used for the headings and titles, but I think your definitely correct in saying that the clarity and readability for large sections of text is quite bad. Can't do much now, but that's really useful advice moving forward. Thank you!
A very valid point. We had some concerns around the colour of the objects that the player had to dodge being the same colour as the object you were meant to collect. We didn't really remedy this but we could have made it even clearer that the pigs were meant to be collected. Thank you for taking the time to play it though!
Really good job on setting the ambience and the tension with this game. The sound design was really solid. I think the monsters pathfinding could have done with some more improvements, you could sort of stand on the other side of a shelf and they would just continually walk into it. But navigating the space and trying to find all the keys was rather fun. Good job!
A very literal interpretation of grow, but executed quite well. The early game is a bit of a grind but the core gameplay loop is solid enough. The drop mechanic for items proved someone unhelpful, and I often found myself dropping an item I was trying to plant. The in game tutorial was very useful and a great polish feature to include. The minimal graphics also made it super clear what was happening at a time. I am also a big fan of upgrade trees, but I think it was slightly bugged as you could go into negative money. Nevertheless a very solid entry.
Thanks for the feedback, in hindsight we should have made the first puzzle a bit clearer to solve. I did attach a walkthrough in the game description but you have to remove a loose rock from the wall to get the items to escape the cell you start in. Never occurred to us that it may be a bit too hard to initially find leading to your experience. As with any game, having some more blind playtesting would help prevent this issue. Either way, thank you for taking the time and for your feedback.
Thanks for taking the time to play our game. As with any game jam game it would have benefited from some more time to add additional clarity to different mechanics. The boiler did only need to be filled once (hence why it looked full) but we clearly missed something so it seemed the text kept appearing leading to confusion. In hindsight maybe we should have added a objective tracker or something to keep people on the right track but you only figure this out afterwards. Either way, thank you for the review and taking the time to play the game =)
Great polish and visuals, but I would have maybe given the player less popups too have to chose, I felt like it hindered the gameplay loop and just felt a bit clunky and confusing. That being said this is still a very well made game, and the combat is quite fun. Creative theme interpretation as well. Good stuff.
