I loved the mood and aesthetic built up here. I was impressed with the variety of enemies in all levels, too. Seeing the sheer volume of projectiles and stuff coming from the robot was also fun, too. Overall, this was enjoyable. Nice work!

I’m a big fan of arena survivor roguelikes (I even tried making one myself once), so I obviously really enjoyed your game. I just felt that things happen a bit too fast, and sometimes the player doesn’t have enough time to think. My favorite build was definitely standing still and only moving to collect XP, the saws combined with the mines are completely broken, enemies can’t even get close to the robot.

Not a bad interpretation of the genre by any means. The weapons all felt different and the incremental upgrades were solid. I would have maybe liked to see some non-combat centered upgrades like pickup range or move speed but maybe that is just me. Either way a good job!

I'm not a huge fan of Vampire Survivors, but I quite like roguelikes. The game's art is really cute, I was playing frantically until... I died, without even seeing that my health bar was going down D:

But overall it's a good game, I liked the idea.

cute music and art !

i don't usually play these type of games, i'm not versed in the genre so these are just my quick impressions:
- some feedback when you get hit would be nice, most of the time i didn't notice it happened until i saw my hp bar was lower, i don't really feel the impact of getting hit or hitting other things, which i think would bring up the game feel of this
- the upgrades were kind of useless to me since i could just move around fast enough to outrun everything, i didn't feel like i was progressing or getting stronger because of this
- there were so many enemies and they took a lot of hits that i didn't notice if/when something died (whith the lack of feedback from point one as well), which made it unclear if actually killing something gives me xp or not, so my tactic was just keep moving around, which i don't think was the intended experience

absolutely understandable to not make a perfect game for a short game jam, you all still did a lot and it turned out nice, just something to keep in mind for future projects :]

good luck !

Thank you for the feedback :)

thank you for the feedback. i had originally drawn up sprites/animations for the enemies and the player when they got hit, as well as attack animations for the enemies but seems we couldnt implement them in-game due to time.

interesting game! had a lot of fun at the beggining but at the end u can just stay in one place and just do nothing, projectiles will do work for u. but overall i really enjoyed it, good job!

Neat little game, but I felt like it was way too easy. The upgrades scale too quickly and it feels like the enemies don't really scale with you. It also felt like movement wasn't really that important besides just dodging, there were no things that I would want to move to (for example an item/chest), only things to move away from, so the game kind of lacked decisions. I did like the art though, some of it was a bit funny but most if it was quite good. Overall a  pretty cool game, well done!

Developer

thank you for the compliment on the art! did some of them seem funny in a good way or a odd one? i want to know what i could improve on :3

Funny in both a good and king of odd way, mainly the car and the digging machine. To me it just looked like you didn't have enough time to polish it so it's not like it was bad art or anything. Also I'm not sure but did you decompress the images after loading them into Unity? A lot of the sprites have compression artefacts. This didn't hurt the game but thought I would point it out just in case.

Developer

the excavator was definitely a bit rushed, it was the last enemy sprite i made. i only did the art for the game and usually work with godot,so i didnt know you needed to decompress images, although i did notice that some backgrounds had a sort of "bleed through" on some of the colours. i thought it was because i made the backgrounds on the wrong aspect ratio lmao
