I really liked this one. Short, simple games with this kind of artwork always work for me, and the presentation here was strong. The art style, mood, and overall feel were memorable, and the way the theme was used felt thoughtful and meaningful.

The gameplay itself was very simple, and personally I would have enjoyed a bit more interaction, but even as it is, the experience comes together nicely. Overall, a well-made and emotionally interesting entry that leaves an impression.

I loved the art, the “child” is really adorable in the beginning. I honestly didn’t expect it to grow that much afterward.

They grow up so quickly don't they? Really nice game though, pretty interesting use of the theme. I feel like there's not much to critique here, I didn't have any problems really. This is a good game with great art and audio, great job!

I really like the art style! I was confused at first, but the game is really interesting. It somehow gave me goosebumps when the music cut out at the end x)

Good work!

I truly loved this game. The way it interprets the theme “grow” feels both simple and deeply meaningful. Watching your baby monster grow little by little—although, humorously, she grows incredibly fast—creates a strong emotional connection from the very beginning. What I found especially interesting is that the game doesn’t allow you to do anything else except care for her, show affection, and help her grow. That limitation is actually its greatest strength.

As the monster grows, the small box that once contained her slowly becomes too tight, until it eventually disappears. To me, this visual change carries a beautiful metaphor. My personal interpretation of the ending is that she has grown so much that she no longer depends on us as a parent, and that is why she is no longer visible on the screen. It feels like a quiet, bittersweet moment of letting go.

(At this point I knew what was coming, I didn't want her to leave😔☝️)

Really enjoyed it,  it's really visually pleasing, and really liked that there was no plot twist that "the moster is evil in the end" and yada yada... Just one problem...
I can't see my baby at the end cause he is too big for the screen TT (damn you "growth" theme...)

hopefully baby remembers to send a postcard :]

This was great! You said a lot without saying anything. I really enjoyed the music and the voices you chose were a great pairing to your whole aesthetic. The art was great, and I loved that the teddy bear changed to money. There was also something so poignant about being able to still give the empty box cake/love/money at the end (I'm assuming that was intentional, but if not, it is to me!). I don't think I'll ever think of a Tamagotchi the same way again.

Nice work!

Developer

thank you so much ! wonderful that you noticed the money change, it's easy to miss :]

it was intentional yes, glad it hasn't been discarded as a bug so far haha, thank you for your time !

The game is quite short, but HOLY SHIT, THE GRAPHICS ARE BEAUTIFUL. I was very surprised at how cute and deep the game turned out, and I bet it was made with a lot of care. An excellent job, I'd say.

interesting game it fit the theme well ! I wish that my choices had more of an effect on the final outcome, but this is a great start.

Developer

thank you ! i wanted this one to be pretty linear for the experience, but noted for the future :]
