Cool game, pretty simple but engaging gameplay. I kind of wish there was a proper goal/ending, or even a chance for a room to not have an anomaly. I don't think the game's too eldritch though. But it was a pretty nice game anyway, good job!

I really like the idea of this game! But I was pretty confused and lost most of the time I was playing. I also got softlocked in the room with Dorothea, because the monsters were huddled on the other side of the door to get out, and there was nothing I could do to get out of the room. Pretty cool game though, good job!
This is a great game! I was a bit confused at the start because I didn't know what was up with the blender and wasn't sure how to get stuff on the skewers, but I figured that out fairly quickly. I really enjoyed the gameplay, it was pretty simple but also just enough to make it enjoyable over the 7 days. I do kind of wish there was more progression though. You get a new ingredient every day, but it doesn't feel like it actually changes the game all that much. The saw is good, it changes the gameplay enough to make the player feel like they're really progressing. Also I think adding a timer would also make the game a bit more interesting too, something to make the game more panicked and chaotic (if that's what you were going for). But I really did like the gameplay and had fun completing the game, great job!
Haha yeah, I kind of left it up to the player if they wanted to look up the entire time or not. As for the eye animation, it's just a static pixel art eye I drew, and a bunch (100) of tentacles placed in a circle around it. The tentacles are just 2d lines that have noise scrolling over them to make them wiggle.
Thanks! A shooter game is not what comes to mind immediately for me, but thinking about it a boomer shooter set in the digestive tract/body of an eldritch being would be absolutely sick. Designing an ecosystem inside it, and maybe the stomach is full of all the other planets and civilisations it's eaten. Maybe I need to think about that more. Thanks for playing though!
Pretty cool game, nice atmosphere. I was kind of confused on my first go, I knew I needed a weapon but missed the squirt gun and broom, and even past that I was a bit lost in general. I kind of wish there was a cleaning element to the game too, something like clean the house while defending it to make the gameplay more interesting. It was a pretty nice game though, good job!
There should be a W at the top of the screen, but with a stylised font I could see how some people could miss that. You move with WASD, or arrow keys. I probably should have mentioned the movement in the intro but I thought the little keys I put in the first level were enough, but I might have to rethink that.
I was actually quite worried about the sound effects because I knew they were important but usually sucked at making them lol. Luckily I found a new sound tool half way through that let me make some pretty good sounds so overall I'm quite happy with it. And the ambience was surprisingly hard to get right so I'm glad you enjoyed it. Thanks for playing!
Thanks, I tried to polish this as much as I could. And since the game is so artistically simple I had to figure out some ways to make it more interesting, I'm glad you enjoyed them! But yeah, the gameplay isn't for everyone which is fair enough. And the story is that you're offering to the devil to make him stronger so he can heal you, there's already a fire there to keep you warm lol. I'll let you guess what the unguessable twist is in the end. Thanks for playing though!
Thanks for the kind words! One of the things I focussed the most on with this jam was a good sense of progression, making sure the player wasn't overwhelmed or underwhelmed through the game. That's also why the first night has no monsters, just to learn controls to then move into the actual game. I'm happy that I seemed to have got the progression right. Thanks a lot for playing the game and enjoying it!
Unique idea for a clicker game. Unfortunately, clicker game's aren't really my cup of tea so take my feedback with a grain of salt. That being said I felt the offers were way to fast, I didn't click on most of them because by the time I had read what they were they were already going away. Most of the meagre earnings I did make went into trying to buy the upgrade to make them stay for longer. I do like that you can choose your own colours though. Pretty cool game though, good job!
This game is great, probably one of the best I've played in the jam so far. I was quite confused as to what to do at the start, went into the controls page and got the story so I almost exited out of that until I saw the next page button. But after I learnt the controls and got into the swing of things I absolutely loved it! This game has fantastic gameplay, simple yet difficult. The art was great too. The music was a bit piercing but I could turn it off which was nice. Overall a really solid game, great job!
Pretty nice game, the art is great. I rejected Mr. Luke Flame about 2 times before he reapproached me. Had some concerns about his 'butcher' role, but respected the hustle so I hired him. The idea is great but it definitely needs a bit more to the game to make it more interesting as after a while you can tell who to hire and fire based on memorising the first sentence. Or at least that worked for me, it was pretty obvious who was evil and who was not. It was a really cool game though and the character design and art was fantastic. Great job!
Really great art! After the first ritual I wasn't sure if I was supposed to do it again or if the game just looped after completing it, luckily I did it again and got to the third loop. Unfortunately I encountered a bug after extinguishing the book that I couldn't interact with anything anymore, it would give me the "press E to interact" text, but I couldn't actually do anything so I got stuck. Pretty cool simple game though. Great job!
Very cool game, I loved the art! After a while of just moving around I finally figured out how to get a pearl and what to do, but I encountered a bug during fishing where the fish just... swam off screen and I was stuck there with just me and my hook. Pretty cool game though, I liked it a lot. Great job!
Very solid game. I'm not a big fan of games like this, but this one wasn't too bad honestly. It was kind of frustrating the first couple tries as I experimented with ways to get things and where things even were. I think the 3 minute timer is a bit too harsh, and I only managed to get 7 of the items in the end and even that was cutting it close. But it was pretty a fun and cool game, good job!
I really like the art on this, and it's nice to see dithering OTHER than bayer dithering (even though that's what I did myself). I think the gameplay is lacking though, and the rate at which you freeze is really punishing, if you go in the wrong direction by any amount you're pretty much guaranteed to freeze and have to restart. I did have problems seeing in the caves as well, the dithering is quite heavy so it makes it difficult to see in those darker, less well lit areas. The game was pretty cool though, good job!
Cool game! I think it could do with a bit less downtime between orders, and maybe more types of requests from the customers. Some other stuff to do would also help, maybe rubbish builds up over time that you have to clean, and if you walk over it with an item you slip and drop it or something. Ways to add more chaos pretty much. Pretty nice game though, good job!
Really cool idea, loved the art! I'm not sure if the game is supposed to be "on rails" (something like guitar hero), but if it is it would be nice to have clear lanes to see which lane you're in and which lane the items are coming. Either that or more free movement to make if feel less like there are only a few lanes you can be in and for a bit more control. Also not sure if there is a real reason to try and catch the good stuff (other than cosmetic) as you're already on max purity at the start so I just sat on the side and none of the bad items seemed to hit me. Cool game though, congrats on your first game jam. Good job!
