Game looks really pretty! Couldn't play it due to the lack of a second player, but would defo try it later.

Thank you for being honest. But games made/published outside the jam's time frame will be disqualified/removed, Apologies.

The art is so beautiful and polished! So fun to mix and match and unlock new flowers, and the music is charming too. The journal and dialogues are such a nice touch. Also, it took me an embarrassingly long time to find the circle minigame lol.

So pretty! The world is very charming and the art is beautiful overall. Simple, nice low stakes chill gameplay works perfectly for the jam. Great work!

Fun to play! The background art is pretty, though the pixel sizes across the layers don't quite match up. It would look great with the sizes matched. Keeping previous score was a good shout. Overall neat work for 2 days!

Very engaging and fun! The ads have so much personality lol.
I'd love to see a more in depth progression system if you plan on working on it. Overall super fun tho, nice work!

Nice work!
The art is so pretty and the game is very charming and soft, I had fun. I wish I could play more of it, I would have loved to gather more flowers and maybe a vase showcase shelf would be great. Overall super cute and cozy, good job!

Sure, as long as they are made in the jam's time frame

Hey!
Can you confirm you made this game after the jam started?
On itchio it shows published 4 days ago, just wanna confirm

Such a creative idea! First time I've seen a desktop pet style game in a jam.
The art is very pretty and the systems are simple in a way that really suits the format.
Super fun to play, great work!

I think my first character was wearing formal attire, black outfit.

The music is so pretty, wow!
I absolutely adore the character customization, well made and fun.
Not usually my genre, but the presentation is amazing. Great job!

Visually very pretty and unique!
I got a bit confused on what to do and couldn't quite figure out how to progress, but the environment is really cool and has a great atmosphere. Nice work tho!

"☉ If you use AI, you must mention it on your game page."

It's better to find a voice actor for the jam tho, plenty are available in the disord server, human help will always be better.

Anything that makes sense, like rot, breaking of stuff, old abandoned buildings

Thank you! Glad you liked it.

Pretty art and great music! Game's fun to play as well.

I did find myself losing a bit of momentum after a while. I think a small system or two to nudge the player forward could help. Overall though, really nice experience. Super polished and the tutorial right over the game screen was really nice, I always forget what does what in a farming game, so that was really helpful. Noice work!

Those are fine as long as you have perms to use

Nope, all asset have to be made once jam has started.

Theme voting is over, ty for voting! The final theme will be revealed when jam starts.

Ty!

It's Fossil -> Fuel, the fish fossil at bottom, factories on top

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH

I really like the idea, would love to see a mobile version of this developed/optimized so I can finally put my old tablets to use

ty for playing!

The DVD Store is a nice little shop simulator game with a different premise than the usual ones for these types of games. The outside world feels nice and cool, it can use one or two moving parts but serves as a nice backdrop for the shop. The shop itself is good, DVDs are accessible easily, it can also use some life too, some shelves and walls feel a little empty.
The gameplay loop while intriguing, can use some layers and more interactivity, be it interacting with the cash machine, putting tape etc on DVDs, keeping records or something like that. Which I understand might not be feasible for a 2 day game jam but even stripped down versions of these mechanics would be great. I love the idea of talking to people, giving them a DVD, then next guy comes asking for the same so you either persuade or figure out what substitute you can give him, it adds such a fun layer to the gameplay.

The music is nice, loops alright, SFX are okay too, but can use a little more polish especially when customers show up.
The muffled radio and overall ambience is nice too, could add on top of that but it does the job.

The UI is unity's basic UI which again does the job but a little polish on it can take it miles above the current state.
People as images might be a stylistic choice but it does not match the vibes the game goes for imo, low poly psx models would be the play here.

Overall game is a nice proof of concept that nails the shop management side of these types of games. Can be turned into something short, engaging and fun with slight polish and additions.

Thank you!
This made me try doodle jump, it has a pretty neat concept as well

This game is fun with a very creative concept. The visuals and audio are very striking and atmospheric. Controls work well, but I do agree with others about the lack of checkpoints, I genuinely wanted to beat it, but skill issue got the better of me. Great work though!

Yep, they should be out, sorry for the lil delay

No worries, I will defo check it out post update

Seriously good job considering it’s your first game. Very cohesive and interesting. Nice work!

Great setup for a dice game, the characters look great, the sound design is nice, and the atmosphere is amazing. Good work!

Apologies, but it doesn’t load. I’ve got a decent processor, but the game spikes it to 100%.

Good sprite work, the game looks nice!

Apologies, but it is not loading on my PC. Not responding warnings :(

A very depressing and dark story, I said no out loud during the last part. Great work!

The game is genuinely super fun, I was very invested. Alas, it broke during the final game, same as A.firend. I had no card left, but there were cards in the pile, and it wouldn’t move forward after that. Still, a super enjoyable experience. Nice work!

Damn nice, the bullet patterns were really fun to dodge around. The optional boss was harder than pre-nerf Radahn btw. Good work!
