I liked it, but why the bottom half area is grey? overall good game.
I may have done something wrong when I exported the game because it only looks right on 1920×1080 displays, unless you adjust browser zoom just right...
Cool style, and a good concept!
It could use some juice and polish, like explosions when you kill an enemy, and some kind of… not sure what… when the hero gets hurt.
All the art fit together. I had a hard time with the timing of the enemies attacks and my attack cooldown without any visual effects or sound effects. The theme was very well respected, loved the idea, nice thought.
Nice implementation of the theme and it's a lot of fun! Loved that you included an upgrade system.
I like how you used the theme! Sometimes the enemies were hard to distinguish from the background, other than that, cool game

The only thing — I think when choosing an upgrade, it would’ve made more sense to highlight the selected option rather than dim it :)

I like the graphics and the idea of the game. It gives it a unique feel. But I also lament that it lacks sound effects. Good game overall.
Thank you! Being our first game jam we learned we need to to make time for adding sound effects, Time management in general was a difficulty 😅
The idea is great and continues to captivate due to the development of levels. I really like that the basis of control is purely on the mouse, this adds points to the quick immersion in the game!

Hahaha, a very interesting take on the theme - I loved it. Awesome how you got the balance gauge to double up as a health bar, that was really creative, well done.
