This game, while simple, is still very fun to play! Love how the bouquet will reflect which flowers were picked and the small stories after each bouquet. I'd like to echo what Logos said with that it would be fun if different flowers where in different biomes to force the player to explore more, but overall it's a great game! :)

I think there is something wrong with the music since it slow down. I tried the game on Firefox and Mac. First I thought it was an effect of  inbalances of the bouquet :)

Developer

You’re correct that something’s wrong. But the imbalance is entirely on my end, sorry about that!

Actually I just identified the bug: In the synthesizer, most voices use two oscillators and I’ve only been shutting down one of the pair when notes end. The others pile up and uselessly eat more and more CPU over time. Oops.

Thanks for reporting!

very pleasant gameplay!

Really fun. I was confused at the beggining i didn't care for balance of total flowers.

Either way the sourd, animations and mechanics are great

Loved the wall jump mechanic! Super fun and smooth to control, great job!

I'm amazed by the attention to detail in this game. The bouquet's sprite actually reflecting the exact number AND color of flowers I picked blew my mind.

Developer

Thanks for noticing that! I didn’t think anyone would :D

This game reminds me somehow of the good old Commodore Amiga games. I very much like the style and the balancing aspect for the bouquets. And the story parts. And that it is running in your very own engine!

Very nice entry!

Developer

Thanks!

And my only regret is its enormous size: 250 kB! Way too big :)

Good platform base. I'm a fan of you making your own engine. Very good overall. Impressive and inspiring.

that game is really fun to play. I got sound issues with firefox after a while playing it, but thats so far the only issue I have with this game. I really like the cutscenes ^^

Developer

Thanks! I’ve heard a few reports now about audio problems in Firefox, I’ll be investigating that for sure.

the cut scene were nice, always wondering what the next customer will used the flowers for. Looking at your previous games i see why you pick a wizard as man character :) Great job

A Nice and simple game. I thought it was about guessing the color of the bouquet that would suit the current customer. Turns out they all need the same thing. I'm using Firefox and also found the sound distorted after a while.

Really interesting idea! The concept of 'balancing' the number of flowers of each color while trying to collect as many as possible adds a nice strategic element, which makes the game really fun. As for the visuals, I think you did a great job—the sprites and animations look awesome.

I would have loved to see more mechanics like the rat at the bottom, though I have to admit I got stuck down there (the jump didn’t give me enough height to get out, and I couldn’t find a way back).

That said, great job! You’ve created a really cool game ^^

P.S. If you made this with your own engine, congratulations! That must’ve been quite an accomplishment.

Developer

Thanks for the kind words!

It’s possible to get out by wall-jumping: If you keep walking into a wall and just press jump, you can climb forever that way.

Pretty simple game, nice classic feel. I loved the varied cutscenes of how the bouquets we're used.
