GREAT GAME!!
Loved the simple art.
Good game, I like the style.
love your take on the theme
I like the artsyle :D
Nice game 👍
nice artstyle, and very calming gameplay (at least if you feed your flock properly)
good game
Really relaxing game, good job on the flow of it all.
Flock yeah, good game. I liked the minimalist art style for the fish. I think it might have been interesting to add different features in the water, like some coral reefs ect, just the break up the blue a little bit. As it felt like i was getting anywhere at times whilst looking for food. I think maybe the speeds of the fish you control needs tweaking a bit. This has potential though. Congrats on finishing.
Very original video game with quite nice potential, keep going!
Cool game
Very cool entry once I figured out what was going on!
I know it says food and such, but I thought all of the brown points were islands at first so I played 2 or 3 times wondering what I was doing wrong lol
Once I figured that out it was quite fun leading my pack along to grow larger and larger while keeping away from or fending off other groups. I think I basically played pacifist until the end where we had to take out the last other group.
Very good job on the controls, animation and flocking behaviour! If you just add some even premade music and a sound effect or two it would heighten the game and the play so much!
Thank you for the feedback. I am planning to improve the game a lot. You are right the food looks like islands right now :)
Took a minute to into it but I enjoyed playing this! I like the controls and everything about the movement and gameplay mechanics were plain sailing. A little bit of ambience or some audio would really elevate the immersion for it, but it's still a promising build and a very pleasant and relaxing game!
Solid game! I enjoyed the simple yet fun gameplay, and liked the aesthetics. Good job!
Super unique and interesting idea. Wasn't too sure how to eat food and the AI overpowered me pretty quickly. There's a lot potential in the concept.
Thanks, you don't eat, you lead your flock to eat. The enemies seek food to grow, when the food is consumed, they start fighting. So you can try the same as well. I am planning to expand upon the concept, I want to create a 2D fish version of Mount and Blade :)
It looks great. I always loved flocks and ‘boids’, happy to see it into a game. I couldn’t figure out at first try but then I really got into it. There is something here!
Thanks a lot :)
Wow, super cool game. It’s not easy, but you definitely get the hang of it after a while.
I love the aethetics and the swimming animation.
I am glad you enjoyed.
reminds me of swimming koi fish, very cozy game
Is swimming koi fish on itch.io or on Steam? I would like to take a look.
oh i meant that i reminds me of real life swimming koi fish, how they swim gracefully. you did a good job with player movement in your game.
Oh thanks.
Love it! It really feels like a flock. With some feel and effect, could be amazing!
Thanks!
Neat little world! I had some trouble with my first playthrough cause all entire flock was eaten, so I reread the instructions and was much better off the next time. The movement is a little sluggish, and some feedback would be nice (like when you eat another fish). It was a little hard to tell what caused new members of the flock or how I could decrease other flock sizes. Overall though great job!
Thanks for your detailed feedback, there are lots of things going on in the background but could not find the time to create tutorials or instructions. I totally agree with you, some feedback, animations and particles would be great but I don't even have a menu :)
I started yesterday and mainly focused on the NPC challenge, so I am happy to finish this playable version.
Oh whoa, that makes this super impressive then! I really like that aspect of it, because the flock does feel like it has a mind of its own.
Thanks!!
