want to say i love this game, but the name is terrible for SEO, kinda hard to find even when searching directly for it.

Holy, great game. The music is addicting and the game itself is very creative take on a simple concept. I'm really impressed by the quality of this game, kudos! Do you have the music up online anywhere? I found myself wanting to keep the game open just to keep listening, but I don't get to hear all the tracks that way!

Ah thanks! I don't really have them up but they are in the GitHub repo in a wav format...

Such a well made game, even though I don't quite understand how to play it, I can appreciate the great work it took to create this.

really cool game mechanics, good job 👏👏

Very polished game! There was no sound in the downloaded Linux version but in web it worked perfectly, matches the game well too. I think this is pretty clever theme interpretation and an innovative concept. Maybe I’m biased because I like this kind of card game :) The gradually increasing challenges lead you into the game very nicely and it makes it addictive and fun. Well done and hope you do well in the jam with this high-quality submission, I really respect the attention to detail in polishing up the idea, it makes it very satisfying to play.

Thats really a great roguelike to play, hope there will be a dark theme soon.

I got to agree that this is one of the best games in the jam. I am not very proficient with C# language and I wish the NPC would explain the effect of the code block to me during the selection screen. I spent a few hours playing the game and thoroughly enjoyed the game!

EASIEST 5 STARS ALL AROUND. WOW. Perfection, this was such an amazing game. I'd expect you will win the jam with this! So much fun! I'd buy a full game!

Well if there is a such thing as a perfect game this would be it. I loved the music, sounds, puzzles, choices, the theme fits just enough to make it cute and quaint. I loved being in this world, and honestly I only wish our entry was half as good as this one. Stellar job!

There are a lot of confusing aspects... the code injection and the special tasks aren't really explained, which can make it unfair when you lose a run because of them. The visual and audio design is top notch!

Wow. Just.. wow.

I've just spent hours playing this and I'm only stopping because it's getting late and I should really go to bed 😅 Otherwise, I don't think I'd ever stop. From the screenshots I could tell this was going to be a new addiction - and boy was I right! do;MIN(0) seems a simple game at first, but its customisable deck-building and deep buff/debuff system keep it feeling fresh every run.

As others have said, a main piece of feedback would be to have the code injections' descriptions be visible on hover instead of the actual code being shown. Some other things that I can't see in the comments so far are:

  • The code injections' descriptions could be shown on the screen where you choose them so you know what you're picking. When Scalab tells you what it does, it's kinda too late (they're already chosen). As a game dev, I could read the code and sort of make sense of what I was choosing, but gamers who don't code probably won't be able to
  • I love the visuals for the game - but I feel there are a couple of different aesthetics vying for dominance here instead of one art style bringing everything together
  • The audio production is top-quality and the different tracks offer some nice variety but, personally, I feel the level music feels out of place and the vocals especially were a bit grating
  • I don't believe it says how to pause in-game or on the game page. It might be good to add a prompt for this
  • I think a different main menu layout would present as more beginner-friendly and make the game feel a little more polished.  I think it should feature Scalab (he's awesome!) and the options Start, Daily Run, Collection (which would show all the discovered cards and code injections) Stats and Exit could appear in a classic vertical list. There could also be an option for the Leaderboard that opens it in a seperate screen

I offer these suggestions because I know with a little more polish I can see this game being put in the same conversation as the really big roguelike deckbuilders (such as Dicey Dungeons). Overall, this is a brilliant game - with an innovative take on this type of gameplay, a great interpretation of the theme and a lot of heart. I have to say "well done" on what you've able able to achieve during the duration of the jam and I really look forward to seeing how/if you develop this further!

I love it, but what does it mean to connect to X many pips

Developer

If it's the "LINK X" tasks, one card you place must connect to same amount of pips on the surrounding cards. Ie. you must see that many lines. And then there is the connect task where there are two existing cards on the field with marked pips and you must connect those two (so they both activate on the same turn).

This is my favourite game so far!

Incredible gameplay, graphics, audio. The theme is present in a few aspects and it gets so addictive (the ladder is a good proof of it!)

Congratulations!

Super simple concept but super effective. From the art direction to the gameplay, everything is clean and work so well. It's a game you can't help but come back to play it. Not much to add about this game... Bravo.
