So I was playing the game and one of the levels stopped working. It was the one where the pink worm pulls a lever/switch to make the blue worm "blast off". The first time i played the level, everything worked, I just had to restart because i didn't get the blue worm onto the platform. On my second attempt playing that level, the thing that launched the blue worm upwards stopped working whenever i tried activating it with the switch/lever with the pink worm. Other than that, you've got quite an interesting game going. The colorful art style is definitely a plus.

This is such a good game!!! I like the colour scheme, the music, and the physics puzzles. Would love to know what lead to this idea, so unique.

Developer(+1)

Thanks, glad you enjoyed it :D

My idea started out as the general concept of the player being able to split in two to solve puzzles.

Then I just googled what bugs can split in half and it turns out some types of worms can do this :)

Then I proceeded to spend half my time trying to get the worm to squash and stretch properly instead of focusing on the splitting mechanic.

Had a lot of fun, good luck with the jam!

Very cool puzzles. I was afraid the worm thing was just a gimmick but it was actually needed to complete the later ones.

Really nice game!!

I enjoy the unique way of movement. Well done.

Pd: I found the lasts levels really difficult :(

Developer(+1)

Apologies for the difficulty curve.

I actually programmed in an easy mode where there's no gravity. Just didn't have time to add a toggle to the settings menu.

Thanks for the feedback and good luck with the jam :)

This game is my personal favorite. Glad to see such a good Godot game.

Also, the code is so super clean. lol

Developer

Thanks for the feedback!

I've tried a few different game engines and Godot is definitely the best for my workflow.

With my code, I did the thing where I started out trying really hard to be organized and things devolved into madness about a week from submission time :)

script_templates help a lot though, that way all of my scripts have the same general structure.

Good luck with the jam!

I really want to learn your code to see how you implemented the movement. It's so mesmerizing and fun! Definitely a 5 star on the innovation!

Took me a while to understand how to control the worm. Fun gameplay though!

Thank you for the submission. I loved when the two worms appear and how you interact with them. It was fun!

Nice puzzler with great level design. The puzzles are introduced in smooth progression with helpful tutorials for new items.

Loved the concept and the puzzles. The control of the worm could be more responsive but great job!

Very unique playstyle, great work!

Great playability. My son and I loved it. Great job!

Great puzzles and the fact you have to click to move is really well thought out : you hate it but you love it. A very well balanced game.

Developer

Thanks for the feedback, that's actually EXACTLY kind of what I was trying to create with the movement of the worm.

I wanted it to be almost frustratingly slow because I wanted the player to feel like the worm while playing.

But that won't appeal to everyone so I tried to speed it up a bit on some levels.

Good luck in the jam :)

I really liked this game!

The worm-like movement concept was really interesting, and the puzzles were well designed.

Honestly, I would even spend money on a puzzle game like this on steam, it was really well done!

Great game! It is really unique to see this kind of game out of all the mechanics I've played with so far. The graphics were cute and the worm was really fun to control. Nice job!

Developer

Thanks, glad you enjoyed the movement :D
