I really want to learn your code to see how you implemented the movement. It's so mesmerizing and fun! Definitely a 5 star on the innovation!
That's the beauty of this jam, you can see all my code on github :D
Glad you enjoyed it, good luck with the jam!
Took me a while to understand how to control the worm. Fun gameplay though!
Thank you for the submission. I loved when the two worms appear and how you interact with them. It was fun!
Nice puzzler with great level design. The puzzles are introduced in smooth progression with helpful tutorials for new items.
Loved the concept and the puzzles. The control of the worm could be more responsive but great job!
Very unique playstyle, great work!
Great playability. My son and I loved it. Great job!
Great puzzles and the fact you have to click to move is really well thought out : you hate it but you love it. A very well balanced game.
Thanks for the feedback, that's actually EXACTLY kind of what I was trying to create with the movement of the worm.
I wanted it to be almost frustratingly slow because I wanted the player to feel like the worm while playing.
But that won't appeal to everyone so I tried to speed it up a bit on some levels.
Good luck in the jam :)
I really liked this game!
The worm-like movement concept was really interesting, and the puzzles were well designed.
Honestly, I would even spend money on a puzzle game like this on steam, it was really well done!
Great game! It is really unique to see this kind of game out of all the mechanics I've played with so far. The graphics were cute and the worm was really fun to control. Nice job!
Thanks, glad you enjoyed the movement :D
Awesome game! Great work with the take on the theme and super innovative, I could see this winning that category! I see you've already received some feedback on the level ten switch issue, I seemed to get suck with it not working properly as well unfotanatly. But overall really well done!
Thanks for the feedback!
And yes, those switches seem to be causing a lot of issues.
I guess bugs were inevitable given the theme :)
Haha! Agreed!
Very inventive and interesting. The aesthetics were pleasant and mechanics refreshing to use. I love the music, it transports me to pre 1980s era.
Clearly some crafty programming, a lot of hard work and love went into the creation of this project, so I really appreciate the technical and design aspects, plus the theme is so well integrated, lastly the gameplay is relaxing and nice.
Fun! I liked the gameplay concept of the worms, and having that grab stuff etc!
Really interesting concept. My favourite level was definitely the one where you swing from switches on the ceiling. It would be cool to see more levels that focus on the unique movement.
Yep, that level was actually the first one I came up with because of the fun movement.
I just had to create a bunch of levels before that one to teach the player how to move and how all the mechanics work.
Thanks for the feedback!
Really enjoyed the game! It was fun squorming around :)
nice game
these worms were made for aerial travel
It got very interesting when you introduced the 2nd sqworm. Other than that the simple graphics work and you did very well to use existing game features in other ways, like the door to launch the other sqworm. I'm not a puzzle fan, but I see myself comming back to this.
Thanks, yeah I think the second character adds a ton of opportunities for interesting levels.
Just didn't leave enough time for making levels :)
Glad you enjoyed the game!
Really strong game, loved the concept and controls with the movement of the characters!
Thanks, yeah about half of my time was probably spent messing with the character movement.
The other half was just me trying to make it into a game :)
I loved the gameplay and graphics!
I found the controls a bit hard to undestand at first, but very fun afterwards.
Yeah, I tried to devote the first few levels to explaining the controls and giving the player some space to practice.
Definitely a weird control scheme though :)
Glad you enjoyed it!
neat mechanics and colorful graphics :) the text helps are on the spot so that i didn't have a stress over completing levels. great work!
Thanks, I'm glad you enjoyed the text popups.
That's something I've been trying to use in my last few game jams so that the player doesn't have a whole screen of text to look at at once.
