Thank you for the advice!

I had made the tutorial and level as one big piece because I had originally planned for more. (Didn't realize the amount of work it would take)

What would have made the controls easier for you? I've gotten lots of good feedback on it so far but would like your input on it as well.

Thank you for the feedback!

What would have made the controls a bit easier for you personally?

I really liked the infestation system, reminded me of Mario Odyssey.

It was a bit difficult to survive against the enemies because of the one-hit death, but I managed to nearly beat the game.

This was really fun and with a few balance changes, could make for a very fun roguelike.

Loved the visual style.

Though, the gameplay was a bit simple and could have benefitted from a little more polish.

Very fun to play!

I was very impressed with the amount of work completed during such a short time of development. As others have said, slopes were a bit of an issue, but other than the game played great.

Nice work!

I really liked the retro-style graphics, but the platforming could be a bit hard at times. Maybe adding checkpoints or something similar may have been a good option.

Thank you so much!

I'm honored that you think this highly of my game.

Thank you!

What would have made turning easier for you? Lower turning speed? Or perhaps less sensitive controls?

Thank you for the feedback!

Movement is something I'm gathering feedback on. What would have made the movement a bit easier to handle for you?

I haven't been able to recreate a crash at the end, would you be able to detail what kind of situation you were in?

Thank you very much!

The controls are something I'm collecting feedback on. What, in particular, did you find the most difficult? What would have improved the ease of use?

Thank you!

This was super fun for a simple concept. I'm super impressed that something like this could be made in scratch!

Love the art!

Reminds me of  "There is no game".

Nice pixel art and VFX!

I felt like the jump fall was a little bit fast for my liking, but other than that, the platforming was solid, and the letter gun was fun as well.

Nice and simple platforming game. The ending gave me a laugh haha!

Thank you so much! Glad you enjoyed it.

I did notice that I did get a red vignette when I did get hit, but it was kinda hard to tell when I was about to get hit by an enemy and when I did get hit, it was difficult to tell why I got hit. Perhaps just telegraphing attacks more clearly or adding a more noticeable reaction to damage might have helped.

I really liked the atmosphere and color design of the game, but I had a bit of an issue with controls sometimes not recognizing and the UI sometimes disappearing. Maybe it's because of the browser build?

But otherwise, very well done!

Nice work!

Very stable for a browser-based FPS, but some of the gameplay elements could use a bit of work. One thing I had trouble with is attack range and damage feedback. I couldn't really tell how close I had to be to hit the enemies and I wasn't too sure if I got hit instead.

Solid music and death animations for the enemies though!

Thank you for the feedback!

I've noticed the game in general is a bit difficult to play and have received lots of feedback on it. Is there anything in particular that would have helped with making the game a bit less difficult and more smooth?

Very good puzzle game!

It was a really fun and a little bit challenging experience. The overall music, graphics, SFX, etc contributed to a great ambiance while playing.

I really liked the menu and interface design in particular.

Nice work!

Pretty fun runner game!

The variable height of the track was pretty interesting for an endless runner style game, but the obstacles could be a bit tough sometimes.

The graphics style and audio make for a great atmosphere and experience!

Everything about this game is very polished, from the level designs to the visual style.

Very nice work!

I really liked the music and art!

The bug catching was a little inconsistent at times, but it was a nice short, fun experience.

Nice work!

Simple, but fun!

The levels were simple enough to remember but big enough to be challenging. Maybe something like flags or checkpoints that you could place during the "sniffing" time would allow for more complex levels?

All in all, pretty fun and interesting concept.

Thank you!

Yeah, the wall bounce seems to be a bit controversial and seems like something I could work on after the jam is over. I've gotten a lot of feedback on it, but in particular, is there anything that would have made the movement a bit easier for you?

Thank you for the feedback! I'm glad you enjoyed it.

Yeah, balancing the damage output and health was really hard to do because depending on the player and playstyle, you can either be super overpowered or very very underpowered.  I balanced the playthrough for the jam assuming that most players would have a bit of trouble with maneuvering the centipede, but in the end, I couldn't strike a perfect balance for damage and health.

I'm thinking after the jam is over, I could change up the levels a little bit and try to balance a bit more for a proper finished release.

I was so close to beating the game!

The gameplay in general was really fun but perhaps would benefit from varied shooting times. Or perhaps more variety in enemies.

I really liked the gun SFX, it was so satisfying to shoot!

Overall very well made!

Very interesting game!

It took some time to get used to the controls, but it was pretty fun afterward.

I can see the potential this game has, and hopefully, you'll continue to work on this even after the jam ends!

I really liked the character models and overall atmosphere of this game.

It was super polished for being made just in a month!

Well done!

It was amazing to see how much effort went into this game!

I really enjoy JRPG games in general, and this was a very interesting take on the genre.

Great work!

Thanks for the helpful feedback!

I really wanted to make a custom health bar system that showed individual body part health and etc, but I ran out of time before I could implement it. Maybe something to implement after the jam.

The wall bounce is something I got a lot of feedback on, and there are lots of things I could improve upon in that area. Perhaps even just changing the level design to not have tight corridors would have helped.

Thank you so much!

Haha, the laser was my favorite too. In the debug builds, I had them laying around everywhere because it was just so much fun to shoot.

Thanks!

I originally did have the killed bugs drop body parts, but I couldn't quite get a balance between overall health and damage output. It seemed to be a bit overpowered to have each bug drop a body part. Maybe that's an idea I could come back to after the jam is over.

Thank you for the kind words!

Thanks!

The movement seems to be a bit difficult for most people. I'll be sure to take all the feedback from the jam and improve on it afterward.

Hey! I saw and rated your game from there too!

Thanks for the feedback, hopefully in a future build I can improve upon the overall movement of the game, especially the wall bounce. It seems like that's the core issue of difficulty.

Thank you!

Yeah, after getting some feedback, I've noticed that people find the movement pretty difficult. Perhaps in a future build after the jam, I could improve upon the movement to make it a bit easier for new players.

Thanks for the feedback!

My original prototype for the game was actually just a snake clone with shooting, which is the reason for the left and right turning controls. Perhaps it would have been better to change directions completely

Played it again today and it feels a lot better! Nice work!
