This is a beautiful game. I love how the UI resembles an insect encyclopedia and that the world looks strange yet beautiful. The cutscenes were really well made as well and the gameplay concept is quite unique. Overall, I really enjoyed this game! Great work!
Beautifull...
awesome concept,
great graphics.
was getting graphic glitches on my linux, tried the windows version with proton as well, maybe its just me.will try to get the game through github.
i was blown off by the cinematics.
I'd really love to play this but I am trying to download on Mac and it says the file is damaged? Is there a newer version, or a web build I could perhaps play, it looks so dope!
Thank you!
Did you try this MacOS version? https://github.com/raformatico/Hivemind/releases
If it didn't work, there is a workaround:
Just le us know if it works! (We didn't try on a MacOS computer)
Gave me the same vibe as the Oddworld Series! Loved the sound and music, the weird and wonderful style please make more!
I didn't know what to do at the grub wall but its very cool to look at and when I encountered the magma roaches it dropped a few frames but it recovered quickly.
We knew the frame rate problem with the magmaroaches and I want to review the profiler to learn how to make it more smooth.
The wall was intended to be a sound puzzle but we run out of time...
Thank you very much for the feedback!
I saw a lot of effort in the style and artistic composition of this game!
Now i want to try Godot! Any suggestions where to start?
Thank you!
To start, I would recommend the tutorials you can find in the webpage of Godot Engine, and https://www.gdquest.com/.
We're glad to hear that gamedevs want to use Godot Engine!
Thanks!Wow! this is a very impressive and polished game! It was also a lot of fun to play :)
Thank you very much!
Intriguing game! The 3D camera movement and controls are the smoothest I've seen this game jam! So I'll definitely check out your code as someone who wants to get into making 3D with Godot.
Also the intro and outro cutscenes are really high quality.
Thank you very much!
We also learnt from other examples and games made with Godot Engine. Please, feel free to ask us any doubt related to the code (although we don't master the engine...).
The game is great in the details of the world, the graphic, and the BGM as well. The only problem for me is I kept falling from higher area and needs to backtrack. Also I don't understand what RMB do?
Thanks!
We couldn't calibrate the gameplay properly, and you are right... We will try to find a solution to overcome that problem.
The RMB button activates a mechanic in which yo can control other bugs. It works with teh beetle, at this moment (you can move it forward and backwards).
Wow, this game looks great! Really enjoyed the overall experience. Very well done to you all.
Thank you very much!
I really liked the character models and overall atmosphere of this game.
It was super polished for being made just in a month!
Well done!
Thank you!
Our artist is very skilled, and we tried to make transitions between the animations so it looked smooth... The visual part was very important for us.
Great game. Plays really well, game feel is great, artwork is great, and the mechanics keep it unique and interesting. Very well done.
Thank you very much!
Wow, you pulled this off in a month?!
Super polished game, very cool atmosphere.
Did you do all of the modeling yourself?
Awesome job :)
All done in spare time! Hard but satisfying. In fact, on November 5 we were still thinking about what to do!
And yes, all modelling/texturing/rigging/animation... we are crazy people! XD
Thanks a lot for your comment
High quality game. Beautiful graphics and nice music. I really liked the cutscenes and the game world was interesting to explore.
Great work!
By the way, I noticed you only provided game for Windows. I am on Linux, so I couldn’t run it, but I downloaded the code and run it that way (I used Godot too, so I already had the tools ready :D ). Not sure why you skipped exports for MacOS and Linux, since it should be pretty easy to do and Godot supports it. It would be good to export it for people who might not want to clone the repository and potentially also download Godot Engine.
Totally agreed!
It was the lack of time (and I didn't know if I could add it after the submission...)
I did it Today in Github with a release, just in case anyone needs it.
Absolutely gorgeous! I'm honestly amazed at the beautiful models, animations, music, textures... everything! It's all gorgeous!
The only thing I would have liked would have been to move a little bit faster when I wasn't flying, just so I could explore the world more easily. Not that that stopped me from doing so and beating the game.
Great name as well ;)
Thank you very much!
We added the run animation for this reason but it is true it makes the wandering a little slow.
what a beautiful world i love the style and soul, i did not understand how the connect mechanic worked but nonetheless i loved the experience and got to the cutscene
So good to read this!
I love love love the art and style it's so transportational
Thank you very much, Chae!
