Skip Dialog has been added.

Submitted(+1)

The art is awesome and I love the mysterious feel.

Submitted(+1)

Very nice. I liked the look you went for. Good execution of the theme, as well.

Submitted(+1)

Realy like those sprites and all the cute animations (and endings), music and dialog is good. A way to skip the dialog would be nice, so you don't have read it a second time. The background and UI is very minimalistic, it could be a bit more detaild for me (you had probably not enough time).

Anyway, great submission :)

Very good concept. I really liked it. Played and rated!

Don't forget to rate my game please: https://itch.io/jam/cgj/rate/476599

Thank you ferdibakirezer! Played and rated your game!

I do find the death animations and the premise really cute. The character sprites in the overworld are charming too but I just find that the inability to skip to the end of dialogue and the slow walking speed makes this hard to play. I didn't manage to complete it (got up to ladder and lever) :(

I think the music loop is too short and repetitive but I find the overall concept nice though. Hoping in the future there's more quality of life features such as the game knowing which dialogue you've seen before!

Hi ClementineFruity

Thanks for playing our game! We really appreciate the feedback :) We are also sorry that those problems have hindered the game play for you to find out the endings too. We will continue to work harder for better works and improved quality of game play and experience!

Hi Viktorinkov, checked out your game!

Super nice concept. We considered doing something like this when we were brainstorming ideas but weren't quite sure how to make it into something, and its great to see you've managed to do so. Nice job!

Developer

Hey samndan, we are really happy you liked our game and we appreciate that very much! There were ups and downs but we are  overall glad we made it, and reading feedback and seeing people enjoying it is what makes it worth it. We will continue working harder to produce more creative and fun experiences!

A good game with a great art style! I honestly can't say anything negative about this game that hasn't already been said.

Developer

Thank you LegendaryHeart8 for playing our game!

I really enjoyed the Art style.  I honestly didn't know who to trust in the game:(  Hope you'll check out our game as well!  https://itch.io/jam/cgj/rate/476728

Hi sailawayent, thank you for playing our game! Your game was amaaazzzing! UI animations are so smooth. the lion statue startled me alittle! Rated and gave feedback!

I really liked the design on this game, and it certainly fit the theme! I'm a bit bummed that (to my knowledge) there is no way to get to the "currently unavailable" choices, which I was looking forward to. I originally thought that meant I had to do something else first to unlock those choices, so I tried tons of combinations, but nothing actually made them available. :'( Overall, this is a really cool choose-your-own-adventure game, so great job!

Thank you FelineFriendly, there is so much more to implement into my game but 7 days with a tight work schedule made it impossible!  Always remember, the game is a liar :D. Nonetheless, i still hope the cutscenes gave you some joy ! <3

Submitted(+1)

I liked the chibi characters a lot, the music is very nice too. The dialogue system needs a fast forward button, because i had to begin the game many times with the same dialogue. I liked this game!!

Developer

Thank you so much dedilol! Me and my game artist both are really happy that you enjoyed the game! My apologies that you have to play it through without the dialog skip! I will learn to manage my project schedule and leave ample time for more Play testing in the future! <3

Nicely done on the graphics.

Ok first of all the art fot the character is great. The UI instead is really poor, but that's probably because of the lack of time.

That being said, I didn't particularly like the story, I mean, it always ends the same way even if the cutscenes are diffent. Also after the first restart it gets super slow because of the dialogue speed, the walking speed and the fact that you have to replay it all from the beginning without the possibility to skip anything.

The audio is a little bit too simplistic for my taste but it works.

Looks like you focused on the art, which is really good, but too little on the gameplay itself.

If you like to check out our game it would be great.

Hi Stefano, thank you so much for the feedback! Yes there was no time to work on the UI.  As for the dialog skip, I didnt have time to playtest the game and only after submission that i realise the next day the biggest issue is to have to replay with no dialog skip. Im so sorry that you didnt like the game !

Submitted(+1)

Your artwork is very tight. Great job. Audio is also very eeriee and fitting to the theme. I guess you also ran out of time in the end, as there are a few interactions not yet implemented.

Developer

Hi snoutfroth!

I am glad to hear that you liked the art! I will continue to work to improve and produce better works for more people to enjoy! It was indeed a tight schedule as both of us are busy working people with differing and mismatching work times, but I guess we did make it in the end, and gained so much from this!

I liked the art of the Game, very nice indeed.
I noticed some strange feeling with the camera when i move the character. Are you using a tileset collider? If so, try making it composite & polygonal!
Congratulations to @JazeGames! :) nice game

Developer

Hi Marco! thank you so much for playing our game! Are you able to elaborate on the strange feeling with the camera? If its the slight jittery movement of the player, yes! i've just noticed that too! Me and my game artist are looking into it!

Submitted

Of course! The jittery movement of the player!
Did you use a tile map for the creation of the ground? (This could be the problem, it must me polygonal & composite collider)

If you could play my game and give us feedback, we would very much appreciate it !

Submitted(+1)

Really good game! amazing art! very funny

Developer

Thank you Dekotale! Yes, I kept the end cut-scenes in a fun and cute animated style!

Submitted(+1)

Good game, I especially liked the character, it would be great if I could skip dialogue. Great job!

Developer

Thank you Lythmass!

Submitted(+1)

So far the best game I have played in this Jam the character movement was kinda jittery but it's not so difficult to fix I assume. loved the game

Developer

Hi StoneColdPanda! :D

Thank you so much for your feedback and motivating words! I am so grateful to hear that someone loved the game! There is indeed much to improve and we have learnt so much from this experience and had so much fun! We will continue to work hard to create more enjoyable experiences!
