Really nice visuals and audio is great. Background could be improved upon, but I really enjoyed playing as is. Interesting idea and clever incorporation of the theme. Great job!

The control and overall flow of the game is really nice, also the music is a BANGER (even if it would be nice if it looped better). The background is not doing it for me tho, it's kind of bland, and it can be quite repetitive at times. But it has potential! keep it up!

thx for playing!

the background is usualy hard for me im just basic at pixel art

You guys did a great job on this!  Really polished and the action / juice was excellent!  The music was fiiiiire!!! Awesome work -really cool game! :D

Man i loved this game. I was having a blast slicing all the enemies, in slow motion expecially. Really neat game and cool concept. (enjoyed the song a lot)

Great Controlls, Smacking things is super fun. The BGM is a BANGER, but unfortunately it drowns out the other sounds a bit too much for me. The Background Image could have used a bit more love maybe as well.

Great job on the game! I really wish the background was darker, and the sound effects were a little better mixed - there's just something a little off about it. Maybe they're too loud, or not loud enough, or they aren't crunchy enough, there's just something missing ๐Ÿ˜… which is a shame, because the actual music was fantastic

Good little concept, great job with the juice - honestly my comments above are really nitpicky because it's such a good game xD

God job! that game was really funny!

Simple game, yet so awesome.I liked the audio and visuals.I think you can add healthbar to the player to increase the length of the game I am saying this because I was dying quickly in the game;). Keep going:)

Simple, little game. Nice)

It's very fun to play. I love both the art style and especially the audio, good job!

Really nice little game. The audio is really satisfying and the UI is really appealing, love the death animation! I just wish there were more to the art and visuals with some level design, that would be awesome.

I'd love to play a more fleshed out version of this game. There's just something about it that appeals to me on pretty much every level.

The music is awesome, and I really like the effect on the sound when you go into slow motion. I had thought about trying something similar for the slow motion in my game, but I wasn't sure how to go about it. So it's cool to see it in action—it really heightens the immersion.

So here's how we did it - it was a super hack on the code side. Our sound guy produced a distorted version of the main theme. Not sure what he did but it sounded messed up and I can ask him to give you the specifics. However it was exactly the same length as the main track.

At game start I'm starting both tracks, one at zero volume. On activating slow motion I simply swap volumes on the two tracks. Combined with the zoom and the screen lightening I was so pleasantly surprised by how awesome it looked.

Thanks for the info! You say it's a super hack, but it works really well. I'd love to hear more about the audio side as well.

Going slo-mo in your game felt so immersive and cool that I ended up using it all the time regardless of whether I needed it :)

Interesting take on the genre

this was hype >:D

The music stands out as being really nice. I also love that the music slows down with the slowmo.  The game has a really nice energy to it which makes it fun to play!

Submitted

the music is sick and the movement is nice

Good Job :)

really intuitive controlls! really liked this game!

This thing took away much more time than any other submission so far, really cool! If I was to suggest any changes, the player movement could be more smooth, some sliding could make for really fun gameplay.

Great job!

Developer

Thanks for playing!

Yeah, a dash or slide was on the feature list, the darn time slow mechanic took too long and it ended up being cut.

Just for my future reference - I was the coder so player movement is all my fault - what makes for "smoother" player movement?

Some tiny inertia would do it for me,  not much, so the game is still snappy and responsive, just something to make it a bit more organic. Don't listen to me tho, you clearly know what you're doing, game is awesome ;d

Love the minimalist style and the focus on what is important! The soundtrack is an absolute banger!
