Great work! Music and graphics alone, the game is awesome, but then a player controlled rank system? Hell yeah. And three stages on top of that?? Mindblowing. I can definitely feel the shmups influences here, which dont take away at all from the experience. This is a 5/5 for me.

LOVE EVERYTHING ABOUT THE GAME. IN FACT THAT THIS GAME TAUGHT ME THAT WHAT IS BEST POSSIBLE WAY TO MAKE THE GOOD BULLET HELL GAME IS. GOOD LUCK.

That game can basically already be released on steam

Had alot of fun here, the bit crushed voice clips really hit me in the nostalgia.

Hey, this game looks like a lot of fun! The pixel art is charming, and those bullet patterns are intense. It's got a great retro vibe. Keep up the awesome work!

This is right up my alley, all the right stuff from he 80s - music, sfx, gfx and - most important - the ganmeplay. Three thumbs up!!!

Fantastic SHMUP with really nice and cute visuals! I like the unique take on the rank system other SHMUPS have, where you actively choose to increase it rather than it just increasing as you kill enemies.

Fantastic. This is the first one I actually completed. It's fun, and not too hard. I like that the patterns are actually avoidable and you can sneak your way through because the collision is forgiving. So many bullet hell games feel impossible to play. I also like the stealing mechanic. Overall this is a top contender.

Consistent from start to finish and clean visuals all the way through. Very nice job!

Awesome job! This really does fit the BulletHell genere. Love the art and consistancy. Great music. Perfect patterns. And the transional screens are a nice touch. This maybe a real contender.

This is a crazy good shmup for a game jam. The rank system being completely player controlled really sells the concept of rank management without making it a massive difficulty well. The chaining through levels is smooth and satisfying, trying to pick up extra gems from cancels while going for the steal forces really big and confident moves, and with the length and structure the game is really fun to route and execute over your first couple of plays. Figuring out where I could afford to spend a steal just to cancel through a troublesome pattern immediately unlocked my scoring potential in stage 2. The presentation is fantastic with really distinct palettes and music and that boss intro is so cool every time. I also adore the little bitcrushed voice lines. My only issue was that those maroon bullets with the spinning orbs around them feel like their hitbox is bigger than their sprite and I keep getting hit trying to micro between any two of them, and that I wish you could get those bullet cancel gems during boss fights.

Wow, this game is really good, I absolutely loved it. The art style, the sounds, the bullet patterns, everything is so cool, you really nailed it. Great job

Holy cow, the visuals, music, and gameplay are great! Such a cool idea the have a "wanted level" mechanic tied to the powerups. Well done!

This game definitely gets intense pretty quickly depending on how you play lol

Great enemy variety and bullet pattern design. Although I feel like the 2nd boss's patterns were a little too tight with higher levels. That said, everything was still readable in general and I really enjoyed the last boss since it felt like it had the perfect amount of balance to it ( even at higher levels of risk )

Presentation overall is fantastic as well. I love the character designs lol

However, the player character feels a little too sluggish at times. It really messed up the feel of the game at first. I think the game would be better if the player's speed was just increased a little more than it currently is.

But apart from that, this is a damn good game overall. Great job on this

I beat it, did a couple of extra runs and scored 371620 the best.

The presentation is very polished. It looks great, the backgrounds are super nice, there are plenty of cool, changing based on your meter bullet patterns to look at, the boss warning screen is super cool and I like the music. The speed of everything and hit points of enemies are perfect and the game plays great.

Finally the theft mechanic is great, I did not use it on my first run so I got to see all the stronger bullets from each enemy on subsequent ones. It's a great push-your-luck mechanic too as getting closer to enemies to steal from them is the harder part of the game by far, difficulty of the game depends on how much you're willing to try to do it for each single enemy which is fun.

Very cool entry, thanks for sharing.
