What a brilliant idea! I liked the touch that you have given to the concept of "Limited" with the tank breakdowns, also the interface is perfectly adapted to the game and is very useful. Congratulations!

Really cool arcade action game with sprinkles of sim !
I also really liked the fact that you’ve fully integrated the UI as the tank’s dashboard, complete with post it notes from the mechanics XD
Controls are solid since its the classic mouse/keyboard combo, this makes it easy to grasp immediately. And the sim elements of losing certain controls temporarely when damaged put up for a nice challenge, even if at times it can leave you like a sitting duck.
I almost managed to get across the map after many tries but failed to do so :(
But hey still i had quite some fun trying this one out, well done :)
Really fun game! I felt like the random bullets were sometimes very unfair and I had to pray RNGesus too much, but I really love the idea and how that fits the theme, it’s a pretty neat mechanic and is funny how it can mess everything up so quickly. Also the visuals and sounds are really cool, great job!
Wow! This was really cool! The way that the controls changed as you took damage was really neat and I enjoyed it a lot!
I love it ! It was fun game , in the beginnig I didn't see mines but after that it was a pleasure to play. Good job!
I wasn't able to get to the other side, but I think this is one of my favourite games I've played in this jam. The idea of damage impacting your controls was well implemented and I liked having to learn as I went. At first I wasn't sure what I kept getting destroyed, until I realized where the land mines were. I loved having to better understand the mechanics just through playing. Great job!
The mechanic is a really cool idea. I was skeptical at first about it wondering what happens if I lose the ability to go forward (thinking forward was a global upwards), but having the movement turn based solves that problem in an interesting way.
I feel either the player should have been a little faster, the projectiles a little slower, or just less projectiles earlier in the game. The difficulty was weird to me. At first it was really hard but after but on every couple attempts it was for seemingly no reason very easy. Not sure if this was just more or perhaps the way the RNG was set up allowed for very lucky runs or something.
The mines also didn't need to be so hard to see. I didn't even realize they were a thing at first and was very confused and frustrated blowing up. Once I did see them they weren't hard to spot so the lighter color is perhaps unnecessary; the player is going to have difficulty turning around them while trying to avoid bullets and with some of their controls missing anyways, no need for them to be hard to see as well.
The audio was well implemented and the music was neat.
Overall, it was a pretty fun game and a very creative use of the optional theme.
PS dammit Hank!
I won ! (1 : 35)
The game is great. The damage system is an excellent implementation of theme, it's super fun turning around you to move backward because you can't go forward or doing a 315° to turn the other way, generally dying during the process. The tank speed and projectile speed are perfect, the game is hard but fair just as I like it. The length of the battefield was the right one too, it was satisfying to finally manage to reach the end, although even just a bit smaller might have been fine too.
I had a lot of fun playing the game, well done !
Excellent old school art-style and really polished UX! The malfunctioning controls are a great use of the limitation theme, but it definitely makes the game ridiculously difficult. Certainly one for the hard-core crowd, but excellent work overall!
Genuinely great game you made, one of the best I've played so far! I love all the unique mechanics, and how you use them to create interesting scenarios. If I had to leave one complaint it's the small bullet projectiles that are everywhere. There really hard for me to see. But that does little to stop the truly wonderful game you have made!
The visuals for this game are incredible. I was hooked on them the moment it booted up, well done! I love the controls and the theme. But the controls seem to stop working every now and then... suddenly I wouldn't be able to shoot or turn properly. Also those little missles are a little punishing as they are hard to see and avoid. Other than those little points, this is a great entry :)
Yeah, instead of completely removing controls when you take damage, I was planning on making it just slow down certain movements or something to make it less punishing. I definitely accidentally made the game a bit too difficult. I'm really glad you liked the visuals, it took forever and I was really hoping people would like them. Thank you for playing : )
Sometimes it seemed like I was taking damage out of nowhere and some of the attacks (like the fish-swimming bombs) are very hard to avoid.
It looks pretty good though :)
I liked the idea of the game but the controls are so hard😵 but overall this game game is pretty cool
Well done👍💜
It's a fun idea, but avoiding bullets becomes nigh impossible when your controls are down, and sometimes it seems that your tank will suddenly take damage for no reason.
Keep up the good work!
