Fun game with an original theme choice, cool visual and interresting game mechanics

Lovely game - The mechanics were interesting, the pixel art was gorgeous, and the gameplay was very fun.

The subtle audio difference for "safe" bubbles and the danger zone indicator for the boss spawn were also very welcome.

I like the visuals very much, specially the fish design. Enemies have a wide variety of behaviors so it's impossible to get bored. The quantity and speed of the bullets is very well balanced and it makes the experience really enjoyable. I discovered the dash a bit late but since then I used it all the time, hehe! Good job, congrats! :)

This game is actually so hype.

Took a few tries but grinded my way to the boss just because you mentioned it's a secret haha - and it was worth the surprise

The physics of the bubble bullets is unique and fits in well with the game's theme! In terms of "Limited," I think it's executed well since bullet hells are usually a spray & pray feeling, whereas this felt like I had to be precise if I wanted to survive til the next blue bullets became available.

Great mix of challenge, feeling like your getting more skilled after each runthrough, and implementation of assets (good ol parallax). Fish hell heaven

I really liked the theming, the music, and how each sea creature spawned bullets in a creative way that felt logic.

Several things annoyed me, however. The hitbox of enemies and bullets often didn't seem to match their size, the dash felt a bit weird to angle. I would either make the enemy hitboxes bigger, or increase the speed of your own bullets so that enemies are less frustrating to hit.
The ammo replenishing works well, I think it could use some tweaks to make the game flow better. For instance, during the boss battle it's wait a bunch of seconds while doing basic evasion, catch the blue bullet wave, repeat the waiting. Maybe having ways to replenish your ammo through risk could help ease the waiting (dashing through red bullets for instance, or staying close to red bullets for long periods of time).

I liked the theming and I thought the background art was quite nice! Well done!

Cool underwater concept, I like the absorb mechanic but it can be inconsistent when there’s only 1 enemy shell left rotating around and he keeps firing the blue bullets offscreen where I cant get it

Developer(+1)

Yea this enemy was definitely the one that needed the most tweaking. Thanks for checking it out!

This is a cool game. I like the limited ammo and replenishing it with the blue enemy bullets. I had to guess at that, which I actually like, when a mechanic is not explained and the player has to figure it out. It makes you feel so smart and clever. Anyway, good game.

Great game! I think this is my favorite implementation of "limited ammo" that I've seen so far. The graphics are charming and cohesive, and the sound design is really on point. I felt that the difficulty was well-tuned, with enough challenge to be interesting but not overwhelming. I might have liked for it to be a bit harder, but I tend to like my games more challenging than most people do.

The only thing I can think of to suggest for improvement is that the dash felt a little jerky and sudden. It worked fine for getting through walls of bullets, but it was just a little disorienting to me.

Despite the warnings I played in WebGL with a gamepad, and had no noticeable issues (I prefer bumpers over triggers for binary "button"-type actions, since I've had triggers break from repeated use).

It's a funny game, love the Idea that some projectiles recharge your ammo. Maybe it'd be good to add a life recovery, maybe like 10% of drop at enemies death, but really cool to play. Love the bg parallax

The way to gain ammo is unique and I'm liking the visuals a lot. At first, I thought the pacing was too slow. Then the different bullet spawns and trajectories came in and it makes sense. The only minor nitpick I have is that I would like to control the distance of the dash. I dashed, hoping to dodge bullets but instead dove into them a couple of times.

Very good game, I liked the art style and it was very readable too. I liked the slow introduction of the different enemy, even if when you die at the end, it's pretty long too come back to where you are, but it allows you to get used too the different enemy type which is good. I found the random trajectory of some enemy where a little hard to predict, especially with the slow speed of the bullet (especially the sea shell). But there was a great difficulty curve I think.

Good job.

Good game. I like to play it. Interesting mechanic with limit bullet.

One moment. Bullet for reload and damage bullet is the same shape. If just make different texture, it will be good for colorblind, will more interesting and readable. (It's a very small problem, just some clue.)

Keep it up.

Developer(+1)

Thanks! That’s a great idea to differentiate the texture more.

Nice game! You ended up with a pretty similar take on the theme to mine. haha.

The visuals and audio were pretty nice, and it wasn't too difficult or anything. I did realize it was a bit hard to shoot moving enemies from far away, because the player bullets were a bit slow, so I had to adjust to that a little. But overall, good job!

That was peak video game and nobody can convince me otherwise. I love the gameplay I love the sounds I love the visuals and I love the overall theme. Also, pretty smart way to incorporate the limited theme. Great job!!

Good game, looks polished.

I really enjoyed the fish theme and how it was implemented in the game for the jam. The gameplay is really fun and I found it amusing when the recharge bullets were accidentally shot outside of the screen and I had to wait for them again. It was a bit frustrating but in a funny way. Overall, the game is really solid and well-made

I love the idea of enemy attacks giving you the ammo, really creative idea. great job

Top notch bubble sound. Would fish again :D

Really enjoyed the quite challenging bullet hell mechanics mixed with cartoony sprites. Also the way how the fish spins really appeals to me for some reason :D

Developer(+1)

I have way too much fun spinning the fish around between waves 😂

Very cool game, probably the best concept to come from a game using the limited ammo theme! Good stuff all around!
