This game has a nice, quirky personality. I liked the music and the art, especially the main character's sprite!
I had fun even if I didn't manage to finish it!

I think there are a few places where clarity could have been a bit better, like in some parts of the level design (it felt like I sometimes couldn't go where it looked possible to traverse and then in one part of level 2 it felt like I was walking inside a wall) and some of the abilities, or projectile feedback. Not a huge deal, though!

The game crashed a few times, sometimes on start of the game (post intro), sometimes on death. Other than that, the only bug I encountered is that an enemy kept shooting after dying (one of the level 2 ones that shoot a line of projectiles).

Overall, I quite liked it, well done!

Sorry I didn't have a chance to play this during the jam. But this is really cool! Love the opening cut scene and the art-style, it reminds me a bit of Transistor. The variety of enemy types and bullet patterns is also quite nice. My biggest recommendation is to add more feedback on bullet hits; the sound when the character gets hurt is helpful, but I can't always tell what bullet hit me. But overall, this has a ton of potential, keep polishing it!

Pretty neat one, I quite like it. There's a lot of personality here that's for sure, both on the cutscenes and on the very idea of getting drunk and vomiting lol (Honestly, the world needs more games with this gag). The actual artstyle and perspective of the scenery weirded me a little at first, but on a charming way, so it grew on me eventually. The music is also pretty nice too. I admiteddly didn't finish it tho, I only played till the boss, but that's fine.

Unfortunatelly it seens a little unstable on my laptop tho, it crashed quite a few times when I tried to destroy bullets. And the resolution is also kinda too big for my laptop too, the game forced fullscreen but even then the big majority of the hud was eaten up togheter with everything that was on the screen corners. I had to look up the input for using the potion on the gifs on the game page since the only thing I could actually see in-game was the bottom half of the left-most potion icon, and I also could never know when my sword was on cooldown or not, or how much hp I had.
Minor nitpick with the hitboxes tho, The sizes are actually decent enought for most of the time, it just weirded me a little that I'd usually expect top-down games to have hitboxes only on the bottom half of the characters, so it always feels wrong to get hit on the head in this kind of game imo.

Thank you so much for the detailed feedback! Sorry to hear about the resolution & crashing issues, we noticed those and will definitely update it. Also I appreciate you looking up the inputs via the gifs (mad respect) - just added the Controls to our description to help future players. The hitboxes seem to be a recurring piece of feedback so we have eyes on that too. Again thanks for playing - I loved playing your submission so it was a nice surprise to see this post!

I win!

The game is fun, it offers some cool challenge and each level is different. I did not understand how to use the third skill, the puking one is hilarious though'.

I guess the boss could change his pattern when you took half of his life.

Thanks for sharing.

Developer

Congrats! Sorry about the third skill, it was meant to say "E" key

Great idea for the boss changing pattern and thank you for the feedback!

Some cool looking visuals !

I really like the HD 2D artstyle.

The game felt quite hard though, i even had a bit of performance issues with all those projectiles on screen, and i also had the game crash everytime i died unfortunately :/

So it has some issues, but the game has potential and i really see the efforts and care put into it :)

Developer

Thank you! Good to know about the performance issues and yeah we've noticed the game crashing bug too.

Appreciate the feedback a lot!

The art is top notch. Really impressive for a jam game :) This game is interesting and pretty fun. I feel the hit box needs tweaking, and there needs to be some more feedback and direction added (but of course, it's a jam game haha). Good stuff :)

Developer

The hit box seems to be a common piece of feedback and there's always room for more polish.

Thank you so much for the feedback, really appreciate it!

The visuals look nice but the controls and combat feel really clunky at times.  Sometimes it feels like certain attacks should hit me. That should probably get fixed.

Developer

Thank you for the feedback! We'll look into the player controls and hitbox :^)

Visuals are great, I had a tough time with the early level, the character spawns in awkwardly.

Developer

Thanks for the feedback! There could definitely be adjustments to the level layouts and really glad to hear that about the visuals 🙌

lovely stuff :)) was a little confused where my hitbox was but after a few goes i had a fun time :D

Developer(+1)

Thank you for the feedback! We were definitely trying to find a balance between the characters' & bullets' sizes and could work on making the hitbox more readable.
