Really fun game. The movement felt fluid and fairly responsive, and being able to see the timer pretty much everywhere was a nice touch. The platforms you could jump through seemed to be a bit hit or miss at times but overall a really neat experience.
Thank you for playing! I'll have a look at making those platforms a bit more reliable in an update!
Nice use of colors to distinguish game elements and the presentation (vfx, font choice, etc) were all clear and made it easy to break down levels at a first glance especially when rushing so heckin fast
Got really immersed and couldn't stop trying to progress to the next level. Love the interpretation of Limited btw - solid game!
Thank you so much for playing! And I do try to make simpler graphics still look good and I'm really glad how it came out!
This game is amazing, goes to show you truly can make an amazing experience with just a cube. The visuals are so good, the gameplay is solid, the music is awesome. I loved everything about this game!
I wanted to complete it 100% because I was so hooked but unfortunately I couldn't. I got stuck on the third or fourth level (can't remember which) because I always ran out of time. Despite the fact I found an amazing strat to get through it so fast, I still ran out of time... I have no idea how to beat that level because I couldn't possibly go any faster haha.
Anyway, amazing game! Good job :)
ah yes this isn't explained super well in-game but the Time saved from previous levels gets added onto the time of your current level, so if you're running out of time try beating the other levels faster too!
grafics are cool game is fun but hard😫
Glad you had fun and liked the grafics :p
The platforming feels very solid and the graphics are nice and easy to read. For me the difficulty felt pretty high from the start but not so much so that I was discouraged from trying. Over all a fun and well polished game, nice job!
I tried to make sure the first level at least was very welcoming to newer players with plenty of safe spots, only one obstacle to worry about at once and plenty of given time, I'm sorry the difficulty felt a bit overwhelming, if you could let me know what levels/sections/mechanics you found difficult I would be happy to look into it. Thank you for trying!
I meant to say that it was not so much that i was discouraged, sorry about that typo.
Ohh no problem that makes me feel a bit better to know, glad you were not discouraged then hah!
Fun and polished, great physics and satisfying to move around, and I loved the audio, maybe the music could have some variations, because chiptunes might get repetitive, at least lower down the volume in pause menu would be cool. I enjoyed it even being a kaizo which I don't like at all, so great job
Thank you for playing! There should be a volume slider when you pause in a level but it might be a bit hard to see which is my fault lol. And glad you enjoyed! I managed to get playtesters who don't normally play these kind of games to make sure the difficulty was just right.
It was fun game , i like how game is polished . Good job !
Nice simplistic visuals, makes you focus well on what you need to do. Love the timer in the background gives a sense of RUSH. Love this one. Tight controls, unfortunately I am not great at fast paced bullet hell type games, never the less, a lot of fun.
Wow! I was pleasantly surprised by how good this game felt and i genuinely had a smile on my face trying to move faster after dying!
There's always a faster way!
Now what happened was super cool, I was not managing to get the good ending (a 51 second last level), then I switched to another browser and I got the bad ending (a 33 one) here, then I got back and got the 51 second good ending on my very first next try.
The game is excellent. The controls are perfect and the visuals as clear as you can get. The levels are different and the difficulty of the last level depending on the time spent so that it's harder when you're targetting a higher score is a super cool idea. I love the music you used and the numbers hiding your character in the last level is hilarious, was it intentional or not. The difficulty was exactly how I wanted it to be at the moment. Also game is pure bullet hell with some cool patterns to deal with by the way.
The game is very polished and I had ton of fun playing it, congratulations.
All the levels are super great, it's impressive that you managed to have them beatable by always rushing forward (or at very least very close, there are a few parts I did not manage to do this way I think so I can't be 100% sure but they did seem like it) in such a short dev time, you deal with it fast as a player but that's quite some content you put there, is this the first precision plateformer you've worked on?
It's technically my second platformer but the first one is not available for public, and this game actually would've been a little longer if I didn't start late as I found the Jam 5 days before submission and thought I'd still give it a go!
Also the Timers and Text colours are not correct in the HTML version which I think is an engine bug and not within my control. you are in fact supposed to be able to see what you're doing in the final Level lol.
The only complaint I have is on the last level, it is extremely difficult to see the character with the numbers in the background. Otherwise definitely one of the top games at this jam. Movement felt amazing, it is fun trying to optimize times, and the perfect amount of difficulty. Great job
If you're playing the HTML version the Countdown Timer is pure white for some reason, when downloaded it should be a lot easier to see what's happening. Thanks for the feedback! All the levels went thought many revisions to get the difficulty right but still allow mastery over a level so I'm glad it was appreciated. :D
Very fun and short platformer! I like the way the central mechanic encourages you to stock up on time in the earlier levels for when the difficulty ramps up. I actually ended up having to restart at one point because I wasted too much time on the first two levels lol. It manages to have that style a lot of bullet hells have where there's a chaotic amount of projectiles moving across the screen, but once you figure out the patterns it becomes deceptively simple to maneuver. Also really like the fluid animation and it controls super well. 10/10 would play again :)
Um, holy cow, I feel like you made this game just for me? Precision platforming combined with a bullet hell!?
5/5s across the board!
The excellent level design and millisecond-precise timing of the various bullets is just absurdly refined. And I love the timed level mechanic (My other game Goldiblox Infinite has some overlap here :p). Easily my favorite game of the jam. Exceptional work!
Maybe it was made for you? no one knows!
I'm honestly so glad you found it such a good fit!
Thank you so much :D
I loved it!!
Crazy game, it's a really cool feeling to get stuck with a very little timer, and have the need to "farm" more time in early levels, I didn't get it at first, but it didn't take me too much time to realize haha
The unlocked mechanic in the end seems like a little thing, but it's not, it was a great way to give a little replayability and extend the game's time
Also, you had to think about it in the level design I'm impressed, it allows taking massive skips in levels 1,2,3
Idk if I broke it but I had infinite jumps in the air at one point
My score (after looping and improving times): 4275800
Great game, great audio and visuals, good job :)
Thank you so much for playing! I know that the main time mechanic isn't explained in-game very well so I'm glad you managed to catch on. Also loved your funky game too it was a little addicting lol.
(Edit : How did you get that score the best I can get is 2704900)
Did i manage to finish something more than the 1st level? nop
Did i like this? yup
the limited time makes this into a vey very fun game
I had tons of fun playing it! I definitely felt the "Just one my try"-feeling and kept playing just to get a little further! The movement felt nice after I got a hang of the jumping. It would've been nice with an indicator if there were a bullet on the way from outside screen, but other than that, super nice!
Thanks for a nice experience playing it!
but if you play one more time you might get further and/or a better score :O
jokes aside I agree on the indicator idea I just worried it making lag a bit more so instead I did try to make sure most things can be reacted to easily.
Very cool game. I like having the different difficulty options. The game just all around feels very polished. I do, however, think the game would have greatly benefited from a jump buffer; the jump felt slightly unresponsive at certain points for me.
Even with the slight jump issue, the game was overall very cool and genuinely fun to play.
It does have a jump buffer of 10 frames but I now realise on higher refresh rates this might not be long enough. Thank you for enjoying! :D
The movement feels great and it’s super fun trying to optimize your speed. nice work! Would probably like the camera a bit pulled back because it’s super tight right now.
I liked this! The platforming physics feel nice and the levels were definitely well thought out. I appreciate that it has a variable jump height, acceleration and deceleration time, and it felt like it had a bit of a buffer on the jump? Which is always nice so that inputs don't get lost. My feedback is that I think the camera should probably be zoomed out and the movement for it could be smoothed because it felt a little jarring
Thank you! I did work a ton on making sure the Player feels good and fair to control.
And I see what you mean by the jarring camera movement as to make up for a more zoomed in camera, the camera doesn't follow behind you but ahead of you so switch directions means it has suddenly a lot to move. Thanks for the feedback! :D
