Fun game and cool concept, I love to see it!

Your welcome, thanks for playing the game!

Love the music and models. The animations made it easy to understand when the attacks would come. I was able to run right by the surveillance cameras, I never had to stick my head in the ground (it was still a cute addition, though). I don't think it quite hits the theme, as all you're doing is collecting enough ostriches to get to the end.

It would be nice if maybe the ostriches could attack some of the things depending on how many you have with you. Like two ostriches together could take out the lasers, but three could take out the killer roombas, etc.

But overall, well done! Made me smile. :)

Developer

One of our plans was that the ostriches could attack enemies but we didn't make it on time and we preferred to poolish the game the most we can. Though, that is a good idea :)

Thank you for playing it and glad you enjoyed it :)

Really fun and polished game, great job!

Love how the ostrich run animation and music make for a frantic atmosphere. And the "hide head in the floor so cameras can't detect you" is hilarious. Great stuff with muffling the music during it.

I can also see a lot of care went into the menus and UI with responsive buttons.

One small issue I had is that with the camera angle it was sometimes difficult to notice rooms on lower right.

I also found a hilarious visual bug where when you smack your head against reinforced wall (witout other ostriches so not breaking it) and run away from it then sometimes your neck streches to 10x it's size and sloowly becomes normal XD

Developer

Thank you for playing our game! We like to call all the head glitches "features" instead of bugs :P

Thank you for the review and glad you enjoyed playing it!

Feels very good to play

Damn I needed that ostrich dance at the end to reward the struggle I had to finish the last two levels !

I followed your daily progress on discord, it was a welcome motivation to see how well you were progressing, thanks :)

The game is as fun and well made as I thought, good job!

To be picky and have a constructive comment:

-I find it frustrating that you can only break the glass if your cursor is on it. If we click the mouse it shows the animation of the head going through but no breaking if I clicked elsewhere :/

-I know they are ostriches and have funny movements but damn could they stop going into the beams sometimes? I don't know if it is because of the controls or the placement of other ostriches but it made me almost rage quit last two levels :p (kidding, I would have finished it no matter what !)

-An idea for more levels would be some new enemy entities with same abilities as the existing ones but with a different rythm? (just a thought I had while playing :) )

Amazing game!

Developer(+1)

Thank you a lot for the positive feedback!

About the points to mention

-Indeed! We had a bit of struggle trying to make it feel good but our favorite way was doing the approach you mention. We couldn't make it feel totally right because you would fail sometimes even you clicked it or hit by error a glass (we didn't want to take that from the player). Anyway, it was our original idea but didn't actually make it feel right :/

-It was kinda the idea. You having to make the horde work as a team. Though I understand the frustration :P

-Indeed! We had a few extra ideas but we discarded them because of time constraints, though it would be a nice addition :)

Thank you for playing and the whole feedback!

I love this game, the amount of polish is insane! This is silly in all the best ways. This might be due to my computer, but it was somewhat laggy (still very much playable tho).

Also please try my game, it would mean so much.

Developer(+1)

Ty very much! I let you my feedback there! :D

Wow, this is beautiful! Everything looks great from the main menu, to the in game overlay to the game models. Whacking things is satisfying and I love the audio effect when the ostrich buries its head into the ground. Very well done!

I'd appreciate it if you could play and rate my game as well :)

Developer

Just played it and left a review. Thank you for sharing it!

And thank you also for playing our game, glad you liked the little details we added as the audio effect for the ostriches :P

Fun game. it's just a pity that you cling to some koliders and die.

Developer(+1)

Thank you for playing it! The colliders had been a bit of a nightmare to set, sorry about that ˄˄
