In what way does your game fit the theme?
To finish the game, the player will need to use Pinkye and Blues in tandem, using one as a jumping platform for the other, doing so will allow the player to reach places otherwise unreachable.
Using both characters together is the Key to solve the puzzle each level constitute.

Did you write all the code yourself and made all the assets from scratch?
I wrote all the code (with the help of some tutorials from Shaun Spalding. I made all the assetsmyself with the help of references and the site https://textcraft.net/

Nice and fun to play game, the soundtrack suits the game very well and the mechanics are balanced.

Really cool and fun game. I did have the same issues listed below but this game is awesome and look forward to seeing updates! Great job!

I really enjoyed the music and sound design overall, the mechanics were good but have the same problems as other players with the collision system going wacky sometimes, All the levels were really thought out but feel like was too punishing sometimes where mechanics were just given. Overall great entry.

Please check out and rate my game as well.

Thanks, glad you liked the game !

Pretty cool and engaging.  The only real issue I had with your game was that their were problems with the collision system, for example, when pink would touch a block while blue was touching the same block, blue would be unable to push the block even if pink had stopped making contact.   Also, while I'm a supporter for minimalism (because art is fricking hard) I think games like this, which resemble old flash games, would benefit greatly from a touch of gaming modernity: like particle effects and 2d lighting.   Brackeys has some awesome tutorials on that.  Other than that, good job man.  I like simple puzzle games like this because it keeps you pretty hooked until you find the correct way to beat the level.  Good work!

Thanks ! I totally see what issue you are talking about and it has to do with the way I coded the interaction between Blues and the boxes, he needs to have speed when he collide with the box in order to push it, so that's why when you're stopped by Pinkye you become unable to push the box before first taking a few step back to be able to build speed. I know it really isn't perfect but I didn't find any better solution.

As for particle effects and lighting, I totally agree, I just didn't get the time.

Great game, I like the idea and the level design :) The graphics are cool too, I like the minimalist style you've used. Overall very well done, I had fun playing your game :)

bro, you did what i kind of wanted to do on my hehe, but i couldn't do it then it was like that, i really liked your game, really good, i need to learn how to make this mechanic.
Developer(+1)

Thanks ! Well you should be glad of your "fail" because the mechanic you created out of it is really really interesting, many good games ideas/mechanic were the result of bugs or "failed" mechanic. Your game mechanic as really a great potential, especially with more than 2 characters, I can't wait to see what you will do in the future with it !

Like the simplistic approach, although some of the assets didn't quite feel like they fit perfectly with otherwise a very cohesive look (mainly the pads). Some bugs with the collision detection (got characters stuck together a few times) but those didn't bother me too much. Keep it up!

Developer(+1)

Thanks for the feedback, I see what you mean about the assets and I agree that I should have sticked with the minimalisms for some of them. I'm sorry about the collision bugs, I was aware of them but I failed to find the way to fix but I'm glad too know it didn't took too much away from your experience !

Box pushing mechanic is a bit janky, but it's a good idea in itself. Nice concept and level design!

Developer

Thanks, I agree with you, with a little bit more time I would have made some tweaks to the box mechanic.

It is a fun concept, it's a bit buggy which took away from the fun, but hey, that's what happens in game jams. Overall, a great game!

Developer(+1)

Thanks, sorry for the bugs, I diid all I could.

Fun game. It reminded me of Thomas was Alone, which is always a plus.

Thanks, glad you liked the game. You're not the first to tell me that,  so I bought the game and wil be playing it once the jam is over !

Game way fun overall, I really enjoyed the puzzles and how I had to use the unique attributes together to get to the common goal.

To improve, I suggest having some way to pull blue's moving blocks away from walls. Way to many times one would get stuck against the wall and I'd have to restart. Some sound effects would also be nice!

Overall, fun game!

Developer

Thanks ! I agree that pulling the boxes would have been great and I thought about adding the mechanic but with the limited time I prefered to focus on other points, same for the sounds effects, I planned to add some but lacked the time. Still in case of a future update that's both things I want to include.

Fun coop platformer entry! Here are my complete feedback:

* Positive points
- Nice concept, it is necessary to think wisely before moving, especially if we want to grab the red coins

- The gameplay is quite precise and responsive, which is a very good thing for a platformer game

- The music is quite cool!

----

* Negative points
- The graphics are a bit too simple

- Some sound feedback would have been nice

Overall nice work!

Developer(+1)

Thanks for playing and for the constructive criticisms ! I agree with you on both negative points :

-For the graphisms I'm not much of an artists so I try to stick to simple and minimalist graphisms with much or less succes

-For the sound effects I did not have the time to had some as I was focus on other points but that definitively would be something that I would add if I ever update the game !

There is a lot of game with the same concept like this game in this Game Jam but this one is probably my favourite so far. I like the art & design. Very simple but nice. Also the song is actually pretty good. Definitely lighten up my mood for the game. Good work! ^^
