The presentation is juuust right. I was worried it might get over the top, but it stayed just on the right side, and aesthetically, this is one of the nicest games I've seen in the Jam. Excellent production.

I know the name is BRIGHT but I felt it was too BRIGHT. Anyway, I love how this game feels to play and the visual direction you've taken. Great job!

love the visuals, movement was sharp, and the story was simple and unique (though black is very needy ) the complaints I have is that the light is TOO BRIGHT like seriously I can't read the text XD, there is also a lack of tutorial like I did not know you can double jump XD, lastly is that I can't skip the text, I mean I already know what's going to happen I just want to see a different ending and if I fail then back to the waiting game :D

good job :D

Good job, really like the game. I’d love if you play and rate my game too

Yeah for sure!

The movement is very tight and feels good. The music was a bit too repetitive. I think the chromatic aberration should've been toned down because it makes platforms less visible and clashes with the clean white aesthetic of the game. The dialogue was pretty interesting and funny but it sucks when you have to wait through it every time you need to restart. I'm not sure I like the idea of spikes draining your light. Why doesn't the game just restart when you fall on a spike? You can't complete it anymore. The main difficulty of the game comes from the fact that you have to complete it whole without taking damage. The levels themselves were pretty easy. The other way around would've been more enjoyable, in my opinion (difficult levels but you don't have to complete them all at once).

Thanks for your feedback, I appreciate it very much!

Yeah, I was trying to do something new, not quite sure if it worked yet...

My composing skills are nonexistent too ;)

Cool little game, the intro was nice but maybe a tad bit too long. Would be nice if it's skippable.

Good job, very simple plataform game. Just the bright of the game annoyed me.

Cool idea! But a bit hard to see the player when light is strongest. Would be nice with some separation :D

Nice quick platform game, the pace makes it really good, and it is smooth! And I like the humor!

It is kinda short, well no surprise their with you changing idea mid time.

But with such a short game I would have seen the following points:

- A way to skip dialogue, or make it go faster. Since the goal is to do a perfect, multiple tries are to be expected, so the dialogue should not take this long.

- Again, since the perfect score is the final goal, a way to restart quickly, but a key or a button (on a pause panel ?)

- After finishing once, you go back to menu but after click "Play" again, you can't move... :/

But awesome little game ;)

Good job !

Thanks very much.

I appreciate the feedback, I'll definitely look into a quicker restart/skip dialogue option... didn't know about that bug, I'll try to fix it.

Visuals are incredible. but the audio was just too much. Cool concept & great work for only 3 or 4 days.

Cool game!

the best part of this game is the visuals but am sorry for saying that but the music was a bit annoying and the long conversation at the start was so long and useless and I did know that I can do a double jump and I even didn't know how to jump until i tested the arrow keys (i was using WASD).
ovar all it was nice exprince.

Nice game, the visuals are awesome. It's just a little hard to collect all lights and would be better if it had a way to skip the intro, besides that great game.

A quite pleasant entry! Here are my complete feedback:

* Positive points
- Nice graphics, simple but efficient

- The LD is quite interesting and challenging

- The audio is good

* Negative points
- The starting dialogue was a bit a long, I wanted to play sooner

- The gameplay is quite too quick, indeed, the character is too fast, so sometimes I felt or hit something by accident

- A blocking bug, where I felt under the ground, in fact, I jump to another scene and at the same time I fell in a hole + I tried to jump again quickly => The bug was triggered.

Overall good job!

Thanks very much for your feedback! I'm going to look at making the opening dialogue a little shorter once the jam is done. I'll also look at fixing that bug and adjusting the player speed.

I appreciate it!

Hey! My game has the same kind of stylisation, but it's not THAT bright, haha.
Like it. :)

The game looks very good, but the gameplay is let down. The game is too short. The effects are not so interesting if there is no interesting game behind them.

Great graphical design choices, feels very unique

This game is extremely beautiful and has very satisfying mechanics. The sass of the quest lord was pretty funny too

I liked the lights and graphics. The way particles come out when you jump is really nice. My suggestion: add music. I bet that with the right music track and these lights, the feel of the game would be completely achieved.

Thanks very much!

I do have a music track, maybe there was a bug where it didn't play for you?

That being said, I'm not much of a composer, so it definitely could use some work.... I might try and redo it after the jam.

Oh, my bad then, I'll try on a different browser, maybe something got bugged
