I enjoyed the music and the game play. It was simple controls but it made it more enjoyable. I laughed when I killed myself with the black hole gun but it bothered me that I couldn't get anyone with the black hole gun. I thought the usage of all the items was pretty cool but my only major comment is the usage of invisible walls on the lower right hand side of the map. Keep up the good work!

It was fun to locate the treasure with the tracker and other tools. There are a lot of ideas I like here. The graphics are great, particularly the environment ones. Music would be good if it was much longer, the short loop got irritating rather quickly.

The digging part was a bit tedious, there was no challenge and you had to just wait until you can click again. A couple of times I ran into a bug where my character was pushed off a hole and failed to pick up the new tool. I had to restart because of it.

I was wondering what the stones and the building was gonna be about. It would have been fun to at least get some reactions from the people when I removed all the stones. And apparently the building and people had too great a mass to be sucked into a black hole.

Nitpicks aside, the game is very good for a jam submission. Well done!

The people were last minute addition to the gane to make the world more alive and I am pretty sure from the review fron everyone else... It broke the games fun... So adding the reactions from people though a great idea hard ti be implemented at very end... Something I'll be enjoying doing...

As far as people cant get sucked into black hole thing... I dont allow murders in my game XD... Thanks for playing the game (couple of times as I can see from your review) and giving me these helpful reviews. I really appreciate the efforts and will be looking forward playing your game :)

quiet a experience, i wasn't able to find a way to dig it up but i had fun exploring the environment you crafted. the graphics of this game are really good but there is something and that is size consistency. like one pixel in your main character is 5 times the size of a pixel in the background. but your art is good none the less. the controls are really solid and responsive which i liked alot

overall a great experience

Developer(+1)

Yes I am aware of the size inconsistencies but I had taken an artistic dicission for that, I wanted the fore ground to pop out more hence bigger pixels as compared to background... I enjoyed making the game and glad you enjoyed it!

Good job.

But please add a checkpoint XD

I lost all of my progress :(

Developer(+1)

Well I guess I should have kept my debug script XD, I had a script to skip that particular location and get that special item... oh well may be I am lying and the script still works and you just have to find a proper key code to access it ;)

Difference between pixel resolutions made it impossible to immerse myself, I quit after digging out portal gun because of that.  Sometimes it works but in this case there was too much resolution variety. Music reminded me of stardew valley and with its music and color palette whole game created relaxing and cozy atmosphere which is my cup of tea, movement and gameplay felt polished. nicely done, Wish there was consistency throughout pixel resolutions so i could enjoy gameplay without distraction.

Developer

i worked on pixel art by considering fore ground and background... Background has high resolution and fore ground had less... I thought it looked good aesthetically (Thats what my personal taste)... Anyway thanks for trying the game and thankyou for  the feedback

Sweet game! I ended up playing with the portal gun most of the time :p

Cool pixel graphics. It's good to play with it but the inventory button doesn't always detect when I click on it. Good work!

Developer

If you are in middle of conversation, the button won't be clicked on... Other wise everytime it should be clickable... If you experienced a bug please let me know how it was being experienced

I found the reason. I was wrong. Not a bug in the game. I was playing non full screen from a browser and the itch.io user tools box hung on the screen.

I really liked the challenges you present. Good game.

Your artstyle has been so good in all of your gamejam games, I remember your other one “Lie throughout”? That was also veryy pretty... Congrats on the entry!

Really liked the art style and the mechanics, great game!

This seems a quite nice game for something done in the week, animations and graphics seem pretty solid, only thing i noticed was the edges of the blocks in the ground blocks. Seems something i'd spend time with.

Really cool game, like the atmosphere a lot, too bad my portal gun was bugged !

You have a good amount of mechanics working for a week, congratz

Developer

Can you please elaborate what you mean by portal gun bugged?

Submitted
