Good design, and impressive work with the art style using only 2 graphics! The only criticisms I can think of are the lack of music and the score disappearing into the hole if the hole was in the top left corner. Having the score swap to the other color when over the hole would have improved it.

This game has a great design overall, one of the few games that got me playing for a long time because I was having a lot of fun! My only suggestion to make this game better would be by giving the player a way to gain ammo when out of ammo/grenades, and to make the ammo flash/pulsate a colour. Apart from that, I really enjoyed this game.
Now this is a really funny game. I was wondering why i was out of bullets than foudn some. Wish the bullets were better visible or have a different color. Also audio woudl be nic ecspecially when shooting. Still a good game.

Really liking the old~ish style. The black hole really gives a sense of urgency and you have to choose between the bugs and the hole. Could need some appropriate music to the background to really get your heart pumping.
I made 1470 (proud of myself haha) ! I just walked in the hole mindlessly ;'( That was really fun and the arcade simple graphics work perfectly with the gameplay ! I could have continue a long time ! I would have really enjoy special events, more difficult sometimes, like somme mini boss maybe !
I'm not used to play pixel art, but now i think it's cool! i love the mechanics and how you collect ammo, the game ends really fast though maybe you can develope it in the future with more guns and levels, it will be great! good job! rated

I think you could also add some sound effect when bullet hits enemies, that make it more juicy!

The size of the bullets are like that because of the visual style i chose, yes you are right even i agree that the bullets are really small and can blen into the background pretty easily and i can see how that would make the player experience pretty bad. But it was a sacrifice that i had to make in order to keep the style. I hope you still enjoyed the game and i hope you have a fantastic time!
Pretty good game. I liked the balance of having to worry about enemy spawners and the black hole at the same time. For some feedback, I'd day make the health kits more obvious. Im still not exactly sure if Im picking up something to restore health or if it happens after a certain amount of kills or what. Otherwise, great game!
thanks for your review! I tried my best adding as much indications as i can because im not a big fan of UI elements. The general idea is you have a 1 in 5 chance of healing when you kill an enemy although this is not a solid nor responsive way of healing i had to resort to it because when i was implementing the health system i was really starting to run out of ideas, i didn't want to add an extra item because it would have easily got lost in the middle of the metric ton of meat that is usually on the ground. I will update the tutorial scene for a more indepth explaination in the post jam update. Thanks for your review again! I wish you luck in the jam

Nice game! A bit easy at first, but gets harder when there are some shooting enemies . Actually their bullets are maybe a little hard to see sometimes, but willing to sacrifice that for these aesthetics ;)
Btw the graphic style reminded me of Sandstorm by managore (https://managore.itch.io/sandstorm), was that a reference ?
thanks for playing Jibbs! i tried my best to smoothen out the difficulty curve of the waves and i guess the shooting enemies can indeed be a little hard due to the spawn algorithm.
about the game you mentioned, no i had no idea about this game i chose this pallet because i remember someone using it in ludum dare 42 and i thought it was an interesting pallet. but after watching the trailer for Sandstorm i considering to download the game so thanks for your recommendation as well
Extremely impressive game! Love the aesthetic of it.
Don't know if bug or intentional, but the hole just kinda vanished the moment I picked up the minigun upgrade.
Either way, for being so simple in design, it was still very fun and satisfying to play. Would love to see more of it!
