Another nice puzzler.  Portal has a lot to answer for.  There wasn't even any cake!

I liked the visuals and the music.  The ambience was very good.  I was a bit surprised when I finished the game.  I thought I was just at the end of the tutorial :-)  More levels would be very welcome, but I understand that this was a jam with a time limit.

Nice work.  Good game.

Wow really solid design and idea, awesome!  It was fun to watch the little dude go and hopefully reach the diamond.  I LOVE the color design, it's like my favorite color combination.  Great clear sprite art too.  Catchy tune as well!  Great job submitting one of my favorite games in the jam!  Please check out mine if you haven't.

Very funny puzzle game. Adding collider to the portal is a wise choice. But the control could be better. Sometimes the portal doesn't move suddenly and I have to drag it again. Overall it's nice game.

Developer (1 edit)

Thank you for playing!

I will work on the control more to improve.

And I'm glad you post the screenshot that you finished all the levels, it really means a lot to me.

is it me or the holes go back to their initial position whenever you reply the level? i think it would help the gameplay flow better if you kept them in their place because i had to move 4 holes again when i realized i just had to move just one of them a little bit to the left. i really like how smooth the rest of the interface is. nice game

Developer

Thank you for playing!

The reset mechanic will be revised afterwards.

Enjoyed it, very well designed gameplay. Music and audio feedback could've been better. Game sat good with theme. graphics aren't great, although really appreciated color choice and how they created calm and strategy thinking inducing environment for solving puzzles, plus these colors weren't hard on my eyes at all.  Hole dragging could be better, i had weird clippings when i was dragging holes in tight spaces or when they were touching each other, it felt bad overall.  Solid 5 on fun factor.

Developer

Thank you for such a detailed review!

I must apologize for the dragging issue, that is probably what I spent the most time on, but it certainly needs more work.

And I will also improve the graphics for sure!

Really solid game! If you just would've left the portals where the player dragged them upon level restart... Anyway. the music is awesome, I don't know from where you got it but it fits perfectly. The SFX are simple yet effective, the game plays really nice, it's got the looks (Nice utilization of those 2d lights :) ).
What I'm saying is.. Keep making games :)

Developer(+1)

Thank you! The portal reset mechanic would be revised in the future!

As for the music, I found Youtube and Soundcloud are two good places to get a good one.

Especially for Soundcloud, you can find copyright free music there.

Clever with setting portals only at start of level. sometimes it didn't take me to next level but other than that it was nice.

I loved the animation and sound of when I first finished the level! XD made me happy.

loved it! ^^

Developer

Thank you for playing! As for the level issue, I think it's probably because the character ends with a loop.

So the system detects too many loops for the character, thus restart the level.

Yeah, that sound effect is just so right!

I really enjoyed playing this game! It's addicting and the graphics are amazing! The audio is also really nice :) I hope that you will add more levels in the future :)

Developer

Thank you for playing! I will work on new levels and new mechanics for sure! :)

Good game! I love how the puzzle is developed and could be expanded, it has future,  the dragging was kind of weird, that kinda break the gameplay but over all I really like the game and enjoyed a lot.

Nice work!

Developer

Thank you for playing! I'm glad you had some good time playing it.

I would work on the dragging more!

The art style is just adorable! I'm loving it! I know I'm far from the first one to say this but hey, it doesn't make it less true :)

The music and puzzle design are awesome too! Overall, just a bit more tweaking and I believe it could be released on mobile. Well done :)

Developer(+1)

Thank you! I really appreciate it!

It's so good to know that my art skill isn't making this game worse. :)

Submitted(+1)

It's the opposite. Your art is very simple, but is consistent and has a distinct style to it. And this in turn gives your game a unique look. So good job on that, keep it up :)

Nice game, I liked it a lot! the dragging of the portals is a little difficult to manipulate but i loved the art style and the use of lights, really makes the game feel alive. Great work :)

Developer(+1)

Thank you! I'm glad you love the art style, and I would work on the dragging more!

Nice implementation of portals. I enjoyed playing it. It would be better if portal positions won't reset to their original positions after player loses the level. So fine tuning would be possible. Overall nice game!

Developer

Thank you for playing! Really appreciate that you like the idea!

Pretty fun! The graphics are great (though I wish the default portals had a color), and most of the levels are tightly designed and fun! A bit of stuff is finicky but of course it is, it's a jam game! Great job!

If you don't mind I'd really appreciate it if you checked out my game as well!

Developer(+1)

Thank you for playing! I did try to let the portals have colors initially, yet, it looks odd so I just used white for temporary.

But I will try to apply different effects and make portals look better.

Sure, I will check your game later.

As for the pro gamer move...

Well.. I'm still working on fixing it, so just keep it as a secret between us. :)

This is a really solid, polished game. I really enjoyed the artstyle and the music was fantastic. The level design was also very good. Everything about this game is just really cute. The only problem I had was that the entire level reset when you died. There were times when I was so close and just needed to tweak one portal to win and then they would all get reset and I would have to do it all over again. Great job!

Developer

Thank you so much! The music is truly awesome!

And I can totally understand how depressing it can be when you were so close to the diamond, but it was too late when I realized that.

The reset mechanic would definitely be revised after the jam ends.

Nice little puzzles to solve.  Cute art, and great music!

Thank you! I really appreciate it! It's my first time making my own assets.
