Awesome game! No idea how on earth did you manage to create all of the assets in such a short time, but well done! It looks beautiful, sounds amazing, and just feels like a polished game.

I'm not trying to be picky, but I didn't like the fact that you need to go through the level at least twice because it is impossible to know where moles are hiding, not sure how that can be solved. But despite that, I had tons of fun, so great job!

Nice entry! I think that idea is very unique and interesting. Maybe character movement could've been more snappy and some textures could've been less blurry, but it was just two days. So I have to say, that I actually liked the game!

Thank you!

I'm glad you liked it! :D

Thank you! I will definitely check yours too!

Thank you for playing and your feedback! Looking through comments, it seems that after many game jams, I finally managed to fill all categories equally. Previously, all of my games were weak in at least one category, such as lacking either a good audio or interesting game play, or decent visuals and so on. So thanks for a feedback it really helps finding your strengths and weaknesses!

Thank you!

Haha, I'm glad you liked it. Level building for this game was quite hard by itself. My scripts helped me a lot, but I also needed to make them at least a bit interesting, so I'm happy that I managed to do so. I'll definitely add more levels after the jam, maybe not 100, but we will see :D

Thank you a lot for your warm words! I will try my best to work on the game after the game jam because I feel like this game mechanic is unique, interesting and worth to be expanded. Anyway, thanks for playing and writing feedback, it means a lot!

Everyone can interpret theme however they want, enemies can be fought with no violance, or you need to evade them, for example in my game there are innocent creatures who are not hostile, if you start killing them you get big debuff, and levels become nearly impossible. Anyways, great work!

Nice entry! Although it felt a little bit too hard at the beginning, it was fun! My suggestion would be to make the game gradually harder, for example, you start with just two containers, and after a few levels, you get more and more. That way players will get used to the mechanics of the game a bit easier.

The game looks pretty great, the fact that you made everything in just 48h is very impressive!

I liked the animation and visuals, and the music was a nice fit too!

Even though the animations were good, I think you should add the transitions between them, so it would feel more organic.

And if you want to improve your game, I suggest making a little bit more interesting levels, for example, adding obstacles, enemies, or just simple visual objects right and there, would make the game way more interesting, because it adds tons of variety.

Overall, the game was nice. Keep it up, and don't stop creating games!

I'm glad you liked it!

I think this approach has a little bit more cons on this game jam because there are not that many participants, so that means people who ask their friends for help or use fake accounts will definitely get a higher position. This problem doesn't occur in the big game jams, just because there are a lot of people and rating smoothes out because of how many votes it gets.

I am not saying this is the wrong way or anything because I am not a host and I have no right to do that. But as a suggestion for the upcomming game jams, I think letting to vote only to those who are in a game jam makes more sense. Also adding a requirement like, you have to have a 10 or 15 rating to be eligible to win, would help too, because some games can get just a few ratings, and because of that, they might end up in the first place which doesn't seem right.

Good job on making a game in a such short time! If you do not mind I have a few things to say.

-First of all the game is way too big, I mean there are a ton of particles, buildings, which are unnecessary. You could've added a few buildings and particles here and there and It would've given the same feeling as it does now, plus it would've made the game a lot smoother, because of fps increase.

-Try adding some kind of goal/power ups/more aggressive enemies/timer on the ability/limited ability usage. Trying to complete a goal while you can use your ability only a few times before it depletes, while some kind of a very fast monster is chasing you, sounds a lot more interesting and challenging. That would make the game much more interesting, it would build tension and immersion.

-Making 3d is always more complicated, so when you have a such short timeframe I suggest simplifying the game as much as possible. For example, in your case, I would've made 2d game with 3d models (you can just make camera look from one side with an orthographic view), and with that you give yourself tons of additional time for polishing, because now there is no need to try improving third person camera or movement controls, also no need to spend time on optimizing the game. And most important the game would've been as fun as it is now.

I am not saying you should always make 2d games, I'm just suggesting that if you can you should at least think about the way to make game simpler without losing too much. In my opinion, in the game jams short like this, representing your idea in a clear and simple way is the most important thing.

Overall, I should say that the game has a nice mechanic and good visuals. With some more work it could end up being a pretty good game, so I hope you are going to keep working!

Amazing visuals! The game felt a little bit too slow, so I suggest making the bird fly faster. But despite that, it was a simple but fun game with a quite nice idea!

Cool mechanic, I liked it a lot. The art, audio was also really great!

The only complaint I have is that it is not easy to grab ants, I suggest adding a bigger collider for the hand. Later, I saw a dot on the hand, so it became a bit easier to grab them, but still, I think a bigger collider would make the game way more fun.

All in all, the game was fun and interesting to play, good job!

Pretty nice idea, I liked the way it felt. Audio and visuals were on the spot!

I suggest giving some kind of penalty for pressing the wrong button many times (or maybe something else). Because in the end, I realized that you can press all of the four buttons simultaneously, so I could keep shooting without guessing which button is the right one.

One bug I found is that if you go to one side of the screen and press space a few times you get stuck outside the borders, you still able to take damage but unable to get back in the camera view.

Overall, I think it is a great entry, good job.

It's space. Very interesting that it didn't work, it's never happened to me, also maybe try fullscreen mode.

It was a nice short game with great story! I was not a fan of the art style, but I think it suited the game pretty well. Great work!

Thanks for playing, I can only imagine playing this game with a trackpad :D

The tutorial was very confusing but after not giving up instantly, I figured out how to play :D

And I have to say it is an amazing game, I played quite a lot because it was a very interesting puzzle game, I hope to see it as a full game one day! To be honest it was one of the best puzzle games I have ever played :D. Really great job!

I think it will be the same as in the other game jams.

Each game will be ranked in five categories. After rating time ends up your game will be placed in a particular place in each category, depending on your average rating. So, for example, your game could end up 33th in Overall, 3th in Gameplay, 1th in Audio, 100th in Creativity...

There will be 5 different lists, and you will be able to see how well your game did in each of these categories.

I already did that! :D

Very interesting concept! The game was quite difficult at the beginning it got easier after trying a lot of times, but still was hard!

In my opinion, improving art a bit and adding music would make this project a very nice game, so consider continuing working on this game.

It was fun to play! I like the fact that you can learn something from playing! Well done!

It is an awesome mechanic, I liked it a lot. Music and art fit very nicely. Also, physics felt very good in this game, so a big plus for that. The only thing that made me sad was the fact that it is so short :(

Despite that, the game was very nice and fun. Good job!

Pretty nice idea. It was a simple but fun game. Art and music fit very well and gave a nice atmosphere. The only thing I would suggest is making mining animation faster. Long mining animation gave the feeling that the game is not very responsive. Maybe I'm wrong and it's not animation's fault, but I feel like making it a bit faster, the game would let you press the space button faster, because now if you press it too fast the game counts it as the wrong action.

I will leave feedback and rate your game.

Also, feel free to check mine!

Very weird concept but in a good way! It was fun to play and funny sound effect made it even more enjoyable. The only thing I would suggest is making it move slower or at least slower at the beginning, because it was really hard to control it because I was moving very fast and every turn was pretty sharp. Anyway, nice game!

Nice entry! I liked that there were characters with different powers. Levels were not easy at first but it was fun.

Few suggestions that would improve the game: make camera follow the player faster, because if you fall or dash few times in a row with dasher you can't see the player at all, for a few seconds. Also, I think there was too much camera shake, it felt like each movement adds more camera shake. Lastly, in some places, you had to jump blindly because it was impossible to see if there is any platform below (I think zooming the camera out just a bit would solve that easily).

Despite that, it was a cool game, good job!

Thanks for playing and leaving feedback! I will keep that in mind!

Nice little game. I liked the art, and the music was quite catchy. I would suggest adding timer before races start, and also walls' colliders at some places are too high and because of that I got stuck out of nowhere. Overall game felt good and it was fun to play, well done!

Amazing art style, and nice usage of just one button. It was fun to play. Although boss fight was a bit too challenging but I enjoyed it, good job!

Ha, I got 241!!

Anyway, nice game, all these particles made the game beautiful. Playing it, was pretty fun. Controls are simple, but at times it was not easy to shoot flying enemies, so that made the game interesting.

I liked that there was a minimap, it let me shoot enemies while they are not even visible.

The only thing I would suggest is to make those flying things look more like enemies because I thought that it was some kind of a power-up and I tried to pick them up :D

Also, the big mystery - what is that big red plus in the middle of the map?

P.S. If you want to challenge yourself, try to finish my game, without taking any damage the least I got was 20 :D

It was pretty hard but to control the barrel, but it was fun! I really like the idea of the game it is quite unique. And of course, it's awesome to see a high-quality 3d games made in such a short time, well done!

Finally, someone who liked the box! :D

Thank you for playing!

Yeah you are right, I tried to make a simple character, because drawing for me takes a little bit too much time, and later I just caught up in the process and made not so squared enemies and I didn't even realize how the main character differs from the game :D

In the beginning, I was not sure why I am dying constantly, because I was not paying attention to the audio. When I understood controls it was quite fun to play. I have to say that the theme was used in very creative way. It was pretty hard to play because game was very punishing if you mess up controls. Anyways, nice work!

Thanks for the feedback. I have never tried doing any kind of sound effects/music before. I always use free assets for that. But because this jam required to make everything by yourself I tried to do my best. I will try to improve more in this area!
