Describe How Your Entry Fits the Jam's Theme
Your name is Murphy.

You are a welder at a Backtrace facility. A hacker has uploaded a virus to the factory servers and the weld-Bots are now rampaging through the facility.

Backtrace executives have tasked you to hold off the horde of bots whilst they flee to their cushy company jet. They will give you an extra $2500 in hazard pay if you do this for them.

The problem is that the virus has affected your welding visor and gravity boots.

When you "Jump" (Space bar), you fall through the floor.

When you try to use your welding visor ("W", "S", LeftMouseClick, RightMouseClick) only one of them ever works! To make matters worse, the one that works keeps CHANGING!

It's not a bug! It's a virus!

Did you create all of your art/sound/music as a part of the game jam?
Not all. The "Pipe" platforms were bought from Unity Store as was the "Crosshair" that you aim with.

No no I'm not joking.

The audio is clipping and cutting out all the time, and the left and right channels are either swapped or just acting weird all the time. It was super annoying, had to mute it ...

I ran the game twice to make sure , but nope.

interesting this is the first time I've heard of it hopefully somebody else who reads this let me know if you hear the same thing is it all the audio or is it just the song or is it the sound effects or both?

I think I have the audio set to stream so maybe I'll just include it with the actual game file itself

Lol...we KNOW!  We REALLY had to calm ourselves in order to get it out on time lol....we are adding more to this so when judging is done we will have a BIG update to push out!

Pretty nice idea, I liked the way it felt. Audio and visuals were on the spot! 

I suggest giving some kind of penalty for pressing the wrong button many times (or maybe something else). Because in the end, I realized that you can press all of the four buttons simultaneously, so I could keep shooting without guessing which button is the right one.

One bug I found is that if you go to one side of the screen and press space a few times you get stuck outside the borders, you still able to take damage but unable to get back in the camera view. 

Overall, I think it is a great entry, good job.

Fun little game:) At some moment the screen just became crazily shaking up and down for like 10 sec (i think i was having two times of count down between glitches) and then i died. Was it a bug or intentional?:)

not sure....not intentional...might have been confused if you "jumped" exactly when you died.  does it keep doing everytime you die?  when you jump, you are supposed to go through the floor...if you are on the bottom floor, you pop through the top!

hm, if i would die during jump i would go to end screen, but i was watching this screen jump for some time (it was hard to say what was actually happening on the screen) and only afterwards i went to death screen

I was able to replicate your issue....lol....For the time being, if you are pinned next to the wall.....don't jump.....you CAN walk right through the robots.  Jump farther away until judging is over :)

Also, re-reviewed your game!

absolutely, the "Bug" you found wasn't something I anticipated....it's actually fixed now (We'll push our update after judging is over).  I extended the collider walls further and added a surface effector to push all objects "ON" screen....so not only does your player no longer freak out.....but enemies no longer hide off screen and shoot you.

Me and my other teammate are still working on the game!  Once judging is done, we will re-Release the game with MAJOR changes.

Bigger map, more AI code, on death "Bug", new aiming system to allow you better shooting, full controller support, better UI scaling, more animations, more SFX and more!

Good job to the whole team! Art is very nice. The idea and execution is interesting. Only little thing would be to have the "glitch change" notification more obvious so you can be better prepared (I noticed the counter on the top right but too many bots to be looking at it xD).  Sweet and short, I like it! =)
