Describe How Your Entry Fits the Jam's Theme
Took the theme quite literally. They're not bugs, they're pets (in this case, of an old man who has a little bit of a troublesome grandson)
Did you create all of your art/sound/music as a part of the game jam?
Everything except for the sound.

First of all... f**k you Timmy, you sick bastard! :D
I had fun trying to save those poor suicidal ants and the story was enjoyable. I really like the art and music, maybe some more colors would've been nice, and of course rework the grabbing a bit, but nothing game-breaking.
Good job!
Hi man, very original entry. I like the art style very much, including music.
Sometimes I find it hard to grab the bugs even if I try really hard and it seems like colliders should work fine.
Anyway great entry!
Cool mechanic, I liked it a lot. The art, audio was also really great!
The only complaint I have is that it is not easy to grab ants, I suggest adding a bigger collider for the hand. Later, I saw a dot on the hand, so it became a bit easier to grab them, but still, I think a bigger collider would make the game way more fun.
All in all, the game was fun and interesting to play, good job!
The visuals are on another level! They're just amazing. I really liked this! Very well done overall!
Nice art and I like your choice of music - firs very nice to the game:) It was fun to play, though I had some troubles with clicking to pick up ants, but maybe it's happening only for me since i don't see other comments about it.
By the way, you can set itch page to open the full screen automatically;)
Thanks for the kind words! Have gotten a few comments on the grabbing mechanic. Basically the detection is done by a raycast rather than by collision with the whole hand, so unless the "dot" in the hand is on top of the ant, it won't grab it. Once the voting is over I'll revisit and improve that :D.
Also regarding the itch.io page, you have an option to open in a new window, but that still won't open it full screen will it? The "full screen" button option on itch.io will still cause the UI to be bugged, still need to use blue fullscreen button that comes with the unity build otherwise the UI just shrinks for some reason. My bad surely, but couldn't figure out why xD
Anyways, thanks again, and I'm glad you liked it! :D
I'm not English-speaking, but I could understand it with simple sentences. Maybe it's the first time I've been on an ant(pets)'s side, it's fun!
Such a gorgeous game! Art is beautiful and the sound fits the game so well!
Well done man ! The art is cool and the sound too but I love your concept, and I'm happy to see that I'm not the only one who thought bugs as an insect
Hey! Thanks for checking the game out! Yeah I've been seeing that on different comments and friends trying out the game. The dot on the hand if where your cursor is which is where the detection happens, but until you get used to it it's difficult to grab the ants sometimes and can cause you to miss some grabs. Will improve that if I get back to the project! Thanks again! ^^
Thanks for playing! Glad you liked it. And yeah that's a very very valid point. Collision detection for the grab is made with raycast instead of actual collision with the hand. Thought of changing it but then it was 30 mins till deadline and.... nope! xD. Will adjust that for sure if I come back to this project after the voting period =)
The Gameplay was superb fun and tight. The art and story telling of the theme was very interesting. I I had a fun time playing it .:)
