Loved the art and expanding my lenses to unlock new animals to take photos of! The driving mechanic could definitely be shortened as it wasn't as engaging as the rest of the game. Very impressed with how much you were able to accomplish in a week! Also, the humor was great

Really cool game. Nice aesthetic and artwork. The car scene was cool the first time, painful after the 3rd time. No reason to go fast except to not waste more of my time -- maybe other photographers are rushing to the scene too? idk. Very enjoyable, still, so great work!

This is really impressive! As a shutterbug myself I am very pleased to see a game about photography. Wildlife photography is hard! The story is funny but relatable, the art is very good, and the whole gameplay loop is addictive too! I like this game a lot!

For a little bit of criticism, I'd say the driving minigame does take up a bunch of playtime, and in a game about photography, I'd expect more time on taking photos, not driving. And why the heck can his camera only take 3 photos each time? That is unacceptable! (Joking) It would be good to get a bit more things going for taking photos as well, things such as first time bonuses and special compositions etc. It would incentivise a bit more creative photo-taking rather than snapping the same photos three times in a row.

Anyway, this is a very good entry, and you should be proud of yourself! Well done!

Chill and cool. Really liked the atmosphere. Would be cool to see more variance, I felt like the game progressed a bit slowly. Well done overall though

Hi! this is such a interesting take on the theme. I like the whole photography aspect of the game. There is a nice upgrade system and game loop, I like that the news paper changed based on your actions. Good job!

I'm so glad you enjoyed! Thank you for playing :)

I like it but I think there is a pretty big issue with the tempo trap slider.

Basically I think the distance is marked by the center of the car icon, which makes it very hard to estimate at first. I first thought it would be the beginning of the slider sprite, so I hit the break too late. Then I thought it was the rightmost part of the car sprite, so I hit it too early. Hope that makes sense, it's a little hard to explain..

Developer

That's a very good point, I should add a bit of offset to the slider to make it read better. Thanks so much  for playing!

Awesome game! The gameplay loop was great, I found myself being drawn in more and more every time I returned back to the apartment.

Really liked it, the personality in the dialogue is great and I think the game is pretty fun. Unfortunately if you try to take a photo when your storage is full, you can't enter the car, and i accidentally hardlocked myself

Developer

Thanks for playing, glad you enjoyed! I did notice that unfortunate bug after release :( It's not quite a hardlock though cause I figured out you can just open and close the camera to fix it, but still frustrating I agree. Thanks again!

The visual and story are very good! I was also so tempted to upgrade my lens to see more stuff. My biggest critique is the driving part - it really puts me off and it felt like a lengthy process.

The camera shooting gameplay is nice, and I especially like where the hawk is flying around, reminding me how a natural photographer is like: waiting for the perfect timing for a shot ;)

Developer(+1)

Thanks so much for the feedback! I definitely agree about the driving, I initially had a lot more in mind for it (icl I WAYYYY over-scoped  initially). Had to dial it back to get it done for the jam, and I agree that part feels a bit empty.
I'm so glad you were able to get that nature photographer feeling! The hawks are one of my favorite parts as well so I'm glad that feeling is mutual.

Thanks again for playing!
