The shifting camera is jarring especially while fighting and the controls are really finnicky, I love the visual style, i love it, its really nice. Love the dialogue, I think the connection to the theme is on the weaker end but still really interesting, and you did it in a way that i havent seen done before

Thank you for your comment, Its unfortunate to hear about that soft lock in the 3D platforming section, to complete it you are supposed to jump from conveyor to conveyor and then through to the box and the 3rd terminal. But i am so glad you enjoyed it! It gives me a dopamine rush every time i see a comment like this!
The sound mix was very off and it threw off a lot of the enjoyment, also visually the bullets take up so much of the screen and hitboxes feel clunky. That being said, it is an interesting concept that could be expanded upon further in many interesting ways. I agree with LowQualityRobin's take on telekenesis.
I enjoyed the game, and I enjoyed the visual style and narrative, i did encounter a few bugs, and a lot of the time, what damaged you wasn't clear. I was able to just stay in the lava early on without taking damage. I think the enemies being the same colour as the player throughs off that they are enemies at first, I initially thought that one of them was currency earlier on.
Will definitely revisit and play through again and adjust my score accordingly, when i say the connection to the theme is weak, I believe that justifying it through visuals alone, and without any gameplay is what in my eyes, brings down the score about it relating to the theme, but i will definitely try the newest build
All in all a really interesting submission with an amazing art style and some nice music, which unfortunately is brought down by some weird hitboxes and physics bugs, lack of feedback for damage to the player or to enemies and a style that makes it easy to get stuck without any real design language to guide you. I also find the lack of sound effects when it comes to attacks movement and jumping also contributed to the lack of feedback.
Finally in regards to the theme, i think the implementation and connection is weak, with simply stating that because it is pixel art, it is minimalist.
again though, visuals are really cool, enemy design is cool, the player animations are cool i will revisit my rating after the grace period ends in case of changes
Some really cool visual stuff, and some great ideas there, i especially like the light spear, i think that was very creatively implemented. I liked the effect before it tells you how to use the light spear. The sound design was good. Some clunky jumps here and there where the player's size relative to the world makes it awkward make it a bit awkward, and the character being black on a black background makes positioning for some jumps a tad difficult, i am not sure if there is coyote time of some sort implemented it is hard to tell, perhaps that could make the jumps less clunky, and sometimes, its hard to tell which way the player is facing but that last point is nitpicky.
All in all a great submission that i enjoyed playing through, and it had some really interesting ideas.
The movement feels incredibly clunky, and the assets lack any animation, the enemy hitboxes and level design make it virtually unplayable. The music is pretty good. I think the relevance to the theme is incredibly strained. and it seemed more like a platformer than a metroidvania though i wasn't able to progress very far due to the clunky design
