How does the game fit the theme?
This game features a boss fight, where you die in one hit - to beat it, nothing can go wrong in your successful attempt.
What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?
I made almost every asset by hand! The sounds and music were collected from the YouTube Audio Library, and the font was downloaded from dafont.com (credit is in the game's description)

Very impressed with the visuals! Start out tough but in true rogue like fashion, as I bulked up I started really getting the hang of it. Great work!
A neat little game! managed to win in my first few tries. I like the upgrades and the visuals. Good job overall!
The game is pretty solid for a Game Jam! It's a simple concept that matches the theme executed really well. The Visuals and the sound design are also good. A Well made game overall. Enjoyed it! Keep up the good work.
This game is seriously my jam. So underrated! My only real complaint was when you would upgrade move speed and roll, it would change the distance you roll, which sometimes led to me rolling into another attack when it wouldn't do so on another upgrade level. But honestly, this is understandable and helps with most other moves, you just need to get used to your move speed. Loved learning the boss moveset, and loved how moves would overlap towards the end, LOTS of great potential there. I also wish he unlocked more moves around half health, that would've been sick but is just wishful thinking from me since I love bosses. Good job, you should be really proud of this!
The gameplay felt intuitive, and the cycle of failing, improving, and trying again was really enjoyable.
The pixel art was beautiful, and the boss movements were awesome!
I think adding title music and sound effects would make it even better.
Thank you for creating such a wonderful game!
Big fan! It was short, but i loved it. I will say that most mechanics are good editions, but it feels like none of them are polished as much as they could have been. Other than that, it was great.
The game was fantastic overall, and I would love for you to continue developing it! I think some polishing would be great for the movement, audio and a bit of the visuals too!
I loved this, the boss design and attacks are great. For negatives, the font was hard to read, the audio was lacking, and the movement felt like it was a little off from perfect(I'm comparing it an Enter the Gungeon feeling). But I'm happy with how well it played.
really enjoyed the game! the boss reminded me a little of the radiance from hollow knight with the blade attacks and i loved the visual style and progression system!
It's a great game with beautiful art style. I had a lot of fun and spent quite some time playing it!
I really enjoyed this game and its progression system! The art is great too! Excellent job on your submission!
This is a nice game! Consistent art style, game mechanics were easy to pick up. I was never able to figure out a counter for that circular sword attack, but I thought the roll mechanic was a great touch. The roguelite elements seemed a little standard but I like those kinds of games and I think it works well with this theme. Bravo!
I really liked it ! It's smooth to play and good looking.
Really great looking game! I was able to beat it on my third attempt but that is because i did not get the 4 circles attack, im still not sure how to handle that one. The intro cutscene was also a bit long (but I'm a habitual cutscene/tutorial skipper so take it with a grain of salt)
