How does the game fit the theme?
In Welland everything is always good, the country is always shinny. Nothing should go wrong into the weather cast, hide all the bad news. Just continue to be obedient, and remember nothing can go wrong in Welland.
What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?
Handmade

This is a game that I really want to like. I love the idea a lot, it seems it would be very fun and enjoyable from the premise alone. Using everything in your limited power to hide every bad news from the public as a game is so cool. The art is also brilliant, especially that lovely reporter lady with that gymnastic pose. Well done on that.
For the gameplay, I think there are quite a few areas to improve upon. The most important thing is that the game lacks an explanation of each element in the game. What do the buttons on the left really do? What does that "mute" button affect, what and when is each sticker used, what will and what won't affect the fear and trust bar etc. You really need that to make the player understand how the game is supposed to be played. It's also a good idea to have some instant feedback that highlights what values have changed. For example, making the fear bar blink when a storm is visible to indicate that something is increasing the fear value. It will also be nice to slowly ease into the difficulty through the gameplay so that the player can learn while playing. Last but not least, it would be nice to show a game over screen when the player has failed the game. I am guessing a full fear bar and an empty trust bar should trigger that.
Anyway, despite everything I've said, I do see the potential of the game, and it would really shine if the game is more enjoyable. Keep up the good work, and I am looking forward to the future of this game.
This is actually really interesting and fun game, just lacking some levels. You can make the levels like Day 1, 2 , ... to make the game progressively harder. This game needs a game loop, like when does it ends. It could end when fear reached max, but that won't makes player feels satisfied because no reward. One way is maybe to add a timer to keep track how long the player endure, increasing the time and getting better at it can be consider a reward too.
For bugs, the only one i encountered was the sticker not very reactive, like the sunny sticker took alot of tries to peel it off.
This reminds me of Not for broadcast but for weather. I was confused in the beginning but once I got the gist of it I found it fun. Well done!
Thanks ! As we got the idea of the game, I remembered I watched a streamer who played at "Not for broadcast", but I couldn't remember the game's name x)
It has been one of my inspirations at the back of my head.
This game is very innovative and have cool visuals!
Good game, but I have a doubt, does there is game over situation or fear bar empties slowly ? Good effort for a 7 day game jam.
Thank to play our game. The game finish after 4mn and you need to have at least 60% trust and less than 40% fear. Unfortunately we had hard time to finish the game and some feature are missing :)
Very great game idea and love the way of using stickers to hide stuff. But it was hard to understand the progress.
Great game!
The game looks cool, but the mechanics and what the buttons on the left do are a little unclear.
Such a great idea! and fantastic art too! It was a little unclear what did and didn't count as covering harsh weather sometimes, other than that I really liked it!
Love the idea and theme implementation. The aesthetics compliment the wacky premise very well too
Cute graphics, I didn't quite understand the mechanics of sound change, is it there just for fun, or you wanted to build it into the gameplay somehow?
Exactly, we were too ambitious at the beginning and a feature with the sound was cut :'D . Maybe, we will continue to work on it after the jam :) ?
Great art, everything meshes well together. I wasnt sure how long I was expected to try 'level 1' or if there was another eventual change since I couldnt really see my progress, so after restarting once since the reporter got stuck on my mouse I did not make it very far
Hey, it's my first in godot I had a lot of trouble making this game, I had to fight over godot feature . I didn't had time to fix all the bug unfortunately, some people of ours band wasn't fully available also.
For a first time I feel it isn't that bad also.
I m happy you enjoyed the art.
You're rigth, we should have add a timer and more feedback, and there is some bug to fix x) .
Thanks for the comment !
amazing visuals. I loved the idea of the game!
Loved the Style and overall Idea of the Game.
It could escalade more quickly for my taste. One Time I couldn't move the Reporter anmyore, needed to restart the Game for that :(
Hello ! Yeah, initially we plan to have several phases, more and more chaotic x) . But it's the first game in godot of our dev, we had to shorten to the core of our idea. We will try to fix it.
Thanks for your feedback :)
So classic Game Jam issues, I feel you haha. I hope you all had a lot of fun! No problem you are welcome :)
I really loved the concept and art! Great work!
