How does the game fit the theme?
The foresight to make a move is essential, to have a plan, like in Katana Zero, Hotline Miami, Neon White. The feeling of "Nothing can go wrong..." before putting the plan into practice is what I focused on for the design of BLIND FAITH.

What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?
The in-game music. It's a track I made previous to the jam.

How many people worked on the game?

Cool game, although the difficulty curve is a bit too step, the game starts off way to hard imo. But with better balance it would be really fun

really cool concept. loved playing it. great work!!!!

Really cool game! Think this is the first platforming card game I've ever played so that is cool. Was fun to solve how to beat the levels and I like the idea of only being able to see the map while you're discarding, I thought it added some nice challenge to the game. Great work!

That was a challenge, a good challenge! I enjoyed this type of platformer with changing the action cards and completing levels somehow. I think I was just lucky. :D

I love the game idea! I sometime had to reroll for long before having the cards I needed but I have no idea how you could improve that.

Cool concept! It was hard to understand at first but it's fun and unique. Suggesting to make it clearer so the experience would be smoother!

I really love this mechanic! I never play card games usually, but this one is very original in the way it is executed. And the music is dope! Well done.

Bro. This game is sick. Its a really well thought out game balancing decision making, randomness and platform traversal. By taking away the usual input system and relying on a choice of cards you have unlocked a whole new experience to tap into. I was frustrated and amazed all at once. Frustrated at my own poor decisions and amazed when I finally made the correct choice. Timing and planning pay a big role in this game. You have really thought out the mechanics to perfection and allowed the game to shine because of it. A fantastic submission and one I hope goes far. Un enorme successo. Ben fatto!!!!

A very cool idea that unfortunately for me, doesn't work well combined with this super basic platformer kind of game. Essentially it's turning something as simple as moving around into an unnecessary complicated process that ruins the fun of the mechanic's core. Maybe fleshing out the levels more would make this work, as people have stated its kinda "empty" atm. Also maybe I'd like to have the minimap always active so I can plan my moves in real time without being "forced" to break the pace of the game constantly. These are my constructive comments, cause I believe these are helpful, otherwise again, I loved the core idea very much.

One of the more unique ideas! Well Done! A in game tutorial would be nice, and I have to aggree with the previous comment, it feels a bit empty, but overall its a great game! Well Done!

i love the idea for the game but is a little too empty.

Grazie e sono d'accordo!

I spent most of the jams time getting the card system working, it is more of a proof of concept than anything

Very interesting game concept you got there. Its a cool idea imo! But a small critique from my end is that i felt quite lost at the start. Maybe some better introduction to how it works could help a new player get into it faster. Thats all!
Best regard,
Beat

Thank you for the comment! I'd loved a better introduction to the mechanics too, unfortunately time wasn't on my side on that one. I made all the levels 4 hours before the deadline ahah

Nice Story and nice game realy loved it !!!

Developer

I think you commented on the wrong game, mine doesn't really have a story? But hey, I'll take it lol

the story and voice acting is real cool. I also liked the graphics. I think aiming the mirrors felt like a tedious process though, maybe a lock on thing would be nice. cool game though! :P

Developer

I think you commented on the wrong game xD

oops wrong game also called blind faith, I kinda feel dumb now... my bad. here's a new comment for the game lol

its a cool concept. a little confusing at first, but I figured it out after reading the description below the game. something felt a little off though. I think its just the fact that the cards are randomized or that the camera was zoomed in a lot. but overall a pretty good game!

Developer

I definitely agree on the randomization of the cards

This was really cool! I've never seen another game like this so I'm impressed by the creativity and I got pretty invested as I was playing through it.

Great job!

Neat concept! Would love to see a fully fleshed out version of this!

Very innovative idea, unique gameplay loop

Submitted(+1)

The gameplay was very innovating but the randomness of the cards clashes with the planning.

Nice concept!!!!! I did love the music, and really fun gameplay, a bit complicated to understand when you starts but even that, is really nice gameplay, well done!

Very unique gameplay, took me a couple time to really understand how to play, but its definatly a cool concept for a game once you get it.
