How does the game fit the theme?
A physics based sand-box-like where you can't loose!
Nothing will go wrong! (hopefully ·_· )
What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?
All of the music, grafics, general code and (almost) all sound effects were created by me during the period of the jam. (My sister helped me with the burp, I couldn't do it, I'm weak)
I used the features and pre-installed behaviours available in the Gdevelop engine.
Programs I used:
• Gdevelop (engine)
•Aseprite (art and animation)
•Audacity (audio recording)
•GarageBand (music)
•Calligro (font generator)

Very fun! Love to see another Gdevelop user <3 definitely gonna play again
Insanely creative sandbox game! The creatures are all unique and charismatic. I'm guessing there are speedrunning strats with the blocks and all, but I'm not the smartest right now to find any, some funneling contraption, perhaps? The hamster-esque fella, in particular, I couldn't figure out, though it was as cool as the rest.
Visuals and audio are just great. Everything that should make a sound makes it. It's really satisfying.
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it!
And yes there are some tricks to it all that can help you go faster; if you want to know some of them; there is a comment I posted at the end of the page that gives them away :)
SPOILERS FOR THE HAMSTER GOOBER:
you can throw it in any direction so it starts running, if it collides with any poop it will send it flying, in combination with other critter placement and maybe help of some blocks, you can make it collect poop automatically by flinging it into the bag while you center yourself on producing it.
SOO FUN!! I love this game! I don't know why but it reminded me of Pikmin? (I think it was the music tbh) There is so much enjoyment built from just trying to figure out how everything works together, you feel like a kid putting shapes in the shape thing and what works best. Sound and art are amazing too. It felt so cohesive, the style blended so well together to make such a fun atmosphere.
I mean, I didn't take direct inspiration from pikmin in any sense (even though I FREAKING LOVE the series); but those lil guys are running around in my head rent free all the time so it makes sense (I think they transport my thoughts like on those data transfer and download animations, which explains a lot... ° - ° ) and yee, now that you mention it, the music has something of a pikmin vibe to it! (And maybe, conceptually, the "eating and pooping/collecting and multiplying" kinda vibes? Idunno)
Also, thanks for all the praise and kind words! it makes my feelings feel nice... (◍•ᴗ•◍)
I always like to read how people see the game and why they enjoy it. It's really nice and makes my brain create The Happy Hormones™ (which then are carried and eaten by my brain pikmin to multiply their troops)
Omg I feel that on a spritiual level lol. I got nothing but blue pikmin in my brain but there's no water so they're redundant haha. Yeah that makes sense, its that sense of you use your limited amount of items to make one thing and then you build from those things to make more and more. It's a super satisfying gameplay loop :))
A very bizarre but fun game. I love the natural snowball effect that the game has, and everything flowed into itself very well. The art was charming and I had a fun time with it.
But I have concerns that don't involve the game. Firstly, upon downloading it from the itch app, it created a shortcut on my desktop without my consent. Odd, but nothing unusual, lots of programs do that. What gave me a scare was that the game is looking for my location, and I was given an error message from windows due to having location tracking turned off. I shut my computer off and came back to it later, and on boot up once again that error spawned. I've done my best to uninstall everything and now the messages are gone. I'm probably just being hysterical, but why was Namto of all things trying to get my location? Some weird quirk of the engine or something? Or was there an online feature that got scrapped along the way?
Thanks for letting me know! I have no idea what that could be about; the engine I use is quite weird, but I had never heard of something like that happening or can imagine any reason for it to be a feature of the engine (I for sure would have no idea how to even begin to implement any sort of online feature or location tracking, so I assume that has to be it? maybe I did something weird though, the engine was a bit buggy while I developed this game and had error codes for stuff that didn't seem to even be in the game. I hope it isn't the engine doing shady stuff though... I wouldn't want to have to take down my games for something the company did)
Anyways; sorry you had to go through that! :(
Did you then play it on browser I assume? if you did download it again, did the location tracking message appear again?
Ah, good to know no malice on your part. It seems like this is only happening with the windows version you have available on itch. Browser and the other version have no issues. A small window pops up on the windows version that says it is installing the game. No location warning upon reinstalling that version though, so I'd probably say you're in the clear if it only happened with the first download? Could also just be my computer being weird. Me and my friend call it "The Cursed One" for a reason. I can hit up a friend who'd know more about this later, but I'd say you're good. My computer isn't seeing any trackers from the game, so it might just be a freak out on my PC's part.
BTW, good job on the game. It was silly and weird and I did enjoy it.
I loved this! The art style, the sounds, the gameplay, all awesome! I would best describe this as a cute sandbox game.
My only critique is that I want more of it! I think the enjoyment from your game is earning new objects and working out what on earth to do with them, with no rush or pressure. Maybe you could add a timed mode with a scoreboard if you want to speedrun this game?
*SPOILERS* I loved the little guy running around in their hamster ball!!! This game is so adorable but that particular dude has a special place in my heart :)
Thanks a lot for the feedback!! I am really happy you liked figuring stuff out, because that was the main gameplay pillar when designing this game :3
The only "problem" with that, conceptually, is that it requires a little bit of curiosity from the player, so I'm glad you had that spark! That's why I added the timer at the end (a bit of an afterthought, I must say) to exploit the other main pillar of the game; poop factory optimization! >:3 so I didn't even think of adding a scoreboard, but that may be a way of turning up that system an extra notch.
(Also yes, that lil goober is also my favourite; recording their sfx was also really fun)
A silli lil game! Loved the visuals and the animations, they were really clean! I think the game could have a but more of a guide at the start but it was really nice!
Thank you for the feedback! But here I have a problem, because I agree with you; the game doesn't explain to you what to do, but I think it's important for the experience to put the player in an "explorer mindset": one of the main design ideas behind this game is to offer a lot of little interactions to discover if you mess around, and that doesn't feel like it's necessary if the first thing you get is an explanation of what to do.
So I think we need a way of teaching the player a bit more clearly what this thing is about without really having to say anything to them... But that's a tough nut to crack :') especially in this weird lil game's case... (If you have any ideas I'll happily consider them!)
This is so silly and fun! I really enjoyed managing my factory, haha. Great amount of polish and I love the art style here. (Impressive burp!)
Oh what a delightful game! Really polished and fun, I loved every bit of it
"(My sister helped me with the burp, I couldn't do it, I'm weak)" 😆
Speechless! A perfect title about managing your own poop factory, which can be speedrunned(?).
The art is great, the audio is great, the core gameplay is great ... Everything about this game is great! Endless possibilities and ways to play this game. It's unreal how can only 1 person could make this masterpiece in 1 week.
An addictive title, can't wait to see this becomes a bigger game! Top 3 of my favorite games this jam for sure!
That's really my honest feedback, no exaggerated at all :D Playing this title just shocked me because it is just that well executed in such short time, but the game still has a great potential and rooms to keep growing around the simple yet highly addictive coreloop! This game gives me great inspiration to design as well! (of course not about the poop part :D)
This game is incredible. I love how weird it is, reminds me of like loco roco and games like that when playstation used to publish really weird games on PSP back in the day. I love all the cute weird monsters and it was fun learning what they all did. It's super cool that it's like an automation puzzle game too to figure out how best to get the balls into the bag quickly. I've gotta go back and do another run now that I understand how everything works. Fantastic game, one of my favorites of the jam and I've played over 100 at this point lol. Great work!
Great game. The sound effects are fantastic!! I also enjoyed the ending. Great job!
This game is absolutely awesome! I had so much fun with this i couldnt stop lol. The gameplay and idea was great, and i especially liked the ending (i didn't expect that lol).
Great job on this entry!
My jam! First the game got my attention by beautiful color palette. Then I started to play it and it made me laugh and smile a lot. Love that you used physics and gameplay was very inuitive with so funny sounds. I relaxed while playing it and enjoyed that something new appeared after a while of collecting coins!
This game is amazing! The whole vibe is super fun, from the art to the sound design! The game design itself is extremely well done, you didn't have to tell the player anything because the gameplay and goal is crystal clear from the very start! The art is super cute and the game is very silly. This game was very fun to play, good job!

Is this cheating? :P Anyway, I liked the game! It was weird and funny and surprising me with new ways to get, uhm, points?
I am surprised to see that I did not need a tutorial, and I that means that it was well-designed! Well done, :) Kudos to your sister too for the burp! xD
Let me know what you think of my game too!
stuff like this happening was exactly the plan, I think the moment of discovering a new "toy" and finding a way to implement it into your poop generation machine is what makes this game fun. I'm also glad you "cheated" because the snake was designed specifically with this pipe-like quality in mind >:)
And also, I did play your game but forgot to leave a comment (sorry!) If you want some constructive feedback, here we go:
first of all, I think the idea is cool; being in your ship and having to manage the resources is fun. That being said, I have a couple of issues with the design and controls: I feel like (especially considering this is a jam game) you have to repeat the tasks (including the yak delivery) too many times without much new nuance to the approach you need to take to complete them, leaving them feeling a bit repetitive at times; I think it would be better if each task had to be done only once or twice and they were a bit more interconnected in gameplay (one affecting the other in some way) but I feel like this is mainly a "me" thing; what I think is a bit more objectively questionable is the camera controls; considering you need to have an object in front of you to pick it up, having such a slow and invariable rotation speed makes it difficult/annoying/sluggish to grab them a lot of the time, and considering it is one of the core mechanisms of the gameplay, it affects a lot the overall experience; I think using the mouse (or mouse wheel) to rotate the camera would feel snappier and easier to use than having to use the same fingers that you use for walking, and it would also allow for variable speed which would help with precision and control. And the last nitpick; I think the ship ai is a bit too annoying, I think the personality being completely, absolutely and constantly bored of you and everything there is to do disincentivizes you from wanting to engage with the game's systems; I think the sassiness and "I don't care about this enough to move a finger" attitude is fun, but being constantly against the idea of playing the game takes you a bit back from the experience.
Okay, that was a lot... sorry if It felt like it was a bit mean, but I tried to focus in the things that could be improved because I feel like that is more helpful (I hope I framed it in a constructive way and wasn't too harsh! because I think that conceptually is quite a cool idea and could work well)
