Nice implementation on chaos control games genre. Simple but pretty visuals, great amount of different minigames. Sometimes I felt like I need to solve captcha, but I think it's fun for a game of such type :D Well-done, keep up the good work!

How does the game fit the theme?
You're working in an understaffed control centre for a space launch, and are the sole tech responsible for monitoring Contender and making sure it stays in one piece
What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?
I used SFX and a font from Kenney, and music from Kevin MacLeod, but the code and art was all made solo during the jam!

Very fun little game. I enjoyed all of the mini games, and I could definitely see you using this as a foundation to build even more mini games and different activities to expand this out some more. Unfortunately at about the half way point an asteroid mission spawned all 4-5 asteroids on top of each other. I was able to click all of them except for one, which ended my run. But overall the sounds, the transitions, the games themselves are all a lot of fun! Nice job on this!
cool concept. i had a few problems with some of the mini games. the simon says one would start beforei even knew what mini game had started making me always miss the first color. and the asteroid game ended up having two asteroids overlapping making me unable to mark one of them. very cool game otherwise. would also have been nice to see the rockets progress troough the mission.
The game was fun and interesting and the textures were nice and simple. Well done!
I had fun playing your game.
Graphics are simple, however they all fit nicely together. The transition between screens felt very smooth and responsive - I found it satisfying to just rapidly switch between them while waiting for a warning to popup ;)
I think you did a very good job of communicating information to the player in general, and making the minigames intuitive to understand.
For improvements, I unfortunately could not complete the game due to the asteroids task bugging out during the final phase. I'd recommend ramping up the difficulty of the minigames over time; an extra button/bar added to each task here and there. Also, I got the same task 3 times in a row at one point, maybe code it so you can't repeat a task.
Overall, quite a simple and yet polished, well executed, and fun game. Great job!
Thanks a bunch, I really appreciate the detail!
The asteroids bugs were very unfortunate, I wasn’t able to resolve them all which is a little disappointing, it’ll be priority 1 after the jam. For difficulty, there will definitely be variants of the games added to increase difficulty over time, not just more things but new mechanics (like initially hiding runes in pairs or buttons swapping orders in Simon Says), I intend to do a decent amount of work on it after the jam. Avoiding too much repetition is a good idea, I’ll have to add something for that too.
Thanks again!
very satisfying SFX. difficulty could ramp up a bit faster - but overall really cool!
Finished the game with perfect 0 liability. Maybe the pacing and difficulty could be improved like take the average people time to complete the puzzle and make it the baseline on second and third phase so maybe people get that "close but made it" moment. I like the juice and simplicity in this game, playing some simple minigame doesn't feel like chore when mixed with that "beep boop click". Loved it, would like it to be more than a week of development, Really amazing!
Nicely done and thanks so much! The difficulty ramp is definitely a bit of an issue, I didn’t have much time to tune the values on frequency unfortunately. Originally the games were meant to get more difficult each phase (each game would have 3 variants with added difficulty, the base one, a harder one and one that adds an extra mechanic) but I didn’t have enough time to implement this (or the extra minigames). I definitely agree though on trying to get that satisfaction/relief moment, I’ll make sure I’m tuning towards that with the adjustments. Really glad you enjoyed!
cool game, wish there was a bit more variety with the minigames but its understandable with the timelimit.
Cool game, I like the concept. We were also considering making a rocket launch :D
The graphics look good and clean. Minigames were fun and easy to understand. I don't remember hearing any music, though? I didn't experience any bugs, and had a problem free launch :)
I think some variations to the puzzles could be introduced to increase the difficulty. For example:
- More buttons/steps in the pattern repeting game
- Change the symbols in the matching game
- Reverse order in the number sorting game
Thanks a lot!
The music doesn’t seem to work on some browsers unfortunately, I’m not 100% sure why. It worked on everything I tested but it broke for someone who playtested my game and we couldn’t figure out why.
There was originally meant to be a system where minigames got harder as you went along (not just quantity but also mechanics, e.g. the symbols are initially hidden in Pairs). But sadly I ran out of time. I’ll explore this post jam though!
Fun little mini games. I got stuck on a certain mission to mark all the asteriods and couldnt get out of it. like the concept and the command station. And I'll never complain about having too many monitors lol
It was a very different game, but I liked it, there was just one problem when a mission arrived and my game crashed.
Cool game, although It took me a few minutes to figure out that you press Q and E to switch monitors. Then game froze after asteroid task
Really enjoyable and polished game! Like others have mentioned, I also think the difficulty progression is a bit on the slow side, but that is understandable given we only had a week, and there is a lot of content in this game. Overall really well done. I loved the story bits, and I think there is a lot of potential to expand this game with more mini-games!
Nice work! Fun concept. It felt like it could have ramped up a bit more as it progressed, maybe to having a longer memorization to do, more bars to sort, etc. Or just more frequent warnings. Maybe your desk-mate has to go to the bathroom and you take on a third screen.
Funnily enough third screen in the final phase was in my task list I just didn’t get to it. I wanted to add an increasing difficulty system over time (e.g. pairs hides the symbol until you click on them, asteroids are bouncing etc.), but I didn’t have the time unfortunately. I’ll be adding these features after the jam!
Simple and enjoyable. Can be easily expanded by adding more mini-games.
Excellent work on this one! Easy to grasp and enjoyable. One bug I found: first time the asteroid puzzle appeared to me all the asteroids where in the same position making super hard to click on all of them. After the first one all the others where normal and spread.
