A small interesting experience, though I didn't really see the steampunk portion in game too much, and I'm not sure how the theme factors in it's still a fun game to just mess around with.  A bit more of a steampunk location would help get across the fact it's steampunk though.  A few bits of feedback tho:

  • The bullets for the player feel really small, I could barely actually see them when I was firing.  It made it a bit hard to aim sometimes, so I'd personally recommend increasing the size.
  • Making the players bullets and the heal item the same sprite was a nice way to convey the "hidden" mechanic in the game.  Though as I said with how small the bullets are it's a bit hard to tell.
  • The set spawn locations of the health pickups are a bit hard to get to, especially since you're forced to go for them in certain situations where you're being cornered.  So you end up having near no chance to escape.

Overall it's a nice little top down shooter to mess around with and a interesting but not really explored concept of the shoot and lose health.  That kinda punishes you for the wrong timing and rng on enemies a bit too much.

Fun game to play ! It would be nice if sometimes killing the enemy spawn a bonus ! :)

It was fun, but the shots don't go toward the cursor every time. I like the art of the game too!

Simple and fun with nice aesthetics and tight controls. well done

I liked the sound warning, nice job!

Pretty simple but fun. I wish I could shoot more before I die though. Good job!

Sometimes the mouse cursor not fit with the gun direction, but is a really cool game!

A pretty straightforward interpretation of the theme. The graphics are good, and I like the music (made in Bosca Ceoil, is it not?). Not too much innovation, but a pretty solid game.

i think the protagonist wants to kill themselves. look for help man. (thats a joke, greate game)

so good!!! the graphics music and game juice is amazing! the theme implementation really fits the games asthetic and makes for a more thought out system of shooting. but if there were things i disliked it would be the repetitiveness and the enemy/ layout design. maybe make the arena bigger, props smaller and include variations of enemies but still really fun!

Cool little game. The only problem is that your character seems to be right-handed, so he aims a little bit to the right of the point that you'd expect him :)

Also, music is a bit too repetative and very much too loud. I always recomend to set background music to -18 or -21 db and add an ability to disable it easily when it starts to get too repetative.

Otherwise, quite a solid peace. It doesn't have a lot, but all that it has is polished.

This music bangs. Quite charming on both visuals and audio.

The game is a bit over simplistic for one week but that's totally okay.

I don't like anonymous voting so here is my rating.

Keep up the good work.

I liked the game's sound design. The art is simple but I felt lost due to the color palette may be having the player stands out more would have helped. Music should also be toned down slightly.

Hey, this game has a direction it's going for but it's a bit weird in my head currently. I'll explain more later, first a few things I quite like:

Very good sound design here, worth commending. It gives very good feedback, and an audible indicator for when you are low on health really helps. I think you did a tremendous job here, one way better than I expected!

The art is simple, but very well done! I'm sure if you had more time on this, it'd look even better!

The music can get a bit obnoxious after a while and I had to lower the volume of the game before getting sick of it even in the few minutes I played.

I think my biggest gripe was the whole game design, shooting itself deals damage to you - which is very contradicting and off-putting if not done right. I think your biggest missing link now is to enable the player to shoot more people per shot. I think if you added a way to kill multiple people at once, it might spice things up, such as charging your shot to penetrate enemies or if you richochet your bullet off a wall, it will gain the ability to penetrate enemies, etc.

Also the aiming is a bit weird.

Anyway, nice!

The controls handled great and the shooting was well done but i keep dying for what seems like no reason.  Nothing is hitting me but i still die after about 5 seconds each time i load.

Simple concept, which fits the theme of the jam just fine. Personally, I didn't find it challenging enough though, it could use some more types of enemies and variety.

I like the controls and feel of the game. Nice Job!
